As soon as the name "Zayne Bell" was mentioned, the whole place went wild! Zayne Bell, the oldest son of the disgraced Bell family-didn't he jump off the Imperial Tower and die three years ago?
People from the Morgan and Collins families immediately looked uneasy. Three years ago, they were the main ones who plotted against the Bell family! Alberto Morgan and Tiana Collins were the ones who actually forced Zayne Bell to jump.
For three years, both families, along with all the other big names who took part in the Bell family's downfall, made it clear that nobody was allowed to talk about anything related to the Bells. As a result, the Bell family and Zayne Bell's names basically disappeared from Chiville-no one dared to even mention them.
But now, at the Morgan-Collins wedding, someone actually dared to bring them up-right in front of everyone?!
"Are you Zayne Bell's buddy... that guy named Evan Gates?"
Alberto Morgan finally remembered-back when he pretended to be close to Zayne, he'd heard the name Evan Gates mentioned a bunch of times. Beside him, Tiana Collins also remembered the man named Evan Gates.
Alberto had looked into him-Evan Gates was just an ordinary guy from a regular family, with nothing to his name!
"Zayne Bell's friend?" Everyone was stunned. Back when Zayne Bell fell from grace, all his friends ditched him overnight. No one ever thought someone would show up three years later to stand up for Zayne.
But... did this guy even realize how powerful the Morgans and Collinses are in Chiville now? Where did he get the nerve to come here for revenge?
"What, you here to get payback for that loser?" Alberto Morgan sneered. "Kid, if you think you can take revenge for Zayne Bell, you better think twice about whether you're up for it! Since you have the guts to crash my wedding, I'll give you a chance to join that loser and keep him company on the road to hell!"
Evan's usual warm smile slowly turned cold. "Before I came here tonight, I was planning to just kill you and send you to hell to kneel and apologize to Zayne. But now? I changed my mind. Letting you off that easy would be too good for you."
"Oh yeah?" Alberto sneered. "You really think the two of you can handle my dozens of bodyguards?"
As soon as Alberto finished talking, heavy footsteps echoed and dozens of big bodyguards rushed in. The Morgans and Collinses had already called for backup as soon as Evan and Rose showed up.
"Oh yeah?" Evan grinned coldly. "Let's see if you're still talking tough in a minute."
Evan took a couple steps back, and Rose stepped up, her cold, merciless eyes full of killing intent.
"All of you, come at me." Rose stood straight as a board, not moving an inch, looking down on the bodyguards with obvious contempt. "You nobodies think you can act tough in front of me? Fine, I'll show you what happens when you cross me! Get them!"
Alberto waved his hand, and his bodyguards-trained like special ops-rushed at Rose.
Rose gave a bloodthirsty grin, and the next second, everyone felt a chill as her figure disappeared. Somehow, a jet-black dagger had appeared in her hand.
Squelch!
The bodyguards at the front only saw a blur, then suddenly felt sharp pain in their hands. They looked down-and their palms were gone, blood spraying everywhere.
The whole wedding hall was suddenly filled with gut-wrenching screams as Rose zipped back and forth among the bodyguards.
In under ten seconds, every bodyguard was on the ground, howling in pain. By then, Rose was standing calmly behind Evan, her dagger put away-not a drop of blood on her.
The only sound in the room was the cries of the injured bodyguards. Nearly a thousand guests saw the floor covered in blood and went pale, scrambling backward in fear. Quite a few dropped to their knees and started puking.
These were trained bodyguards, but they lost their hands before they even saw who did it.
"If you get to the hospital fast, you might still make it," Evan said flatly, glancing at the injured bodyguards.
"Hurry up! Grab your hands and get to the hospital-now!"
Even though they were in agony, the bodyguards-being pros-snatched up their severed hands and bolted for the door.
"So, Alberto Morgan, do you think I'm qualified to take revenge now?" Evan asked with a cold smile.
Alberto's face turned ugly. "I didn't think you'd have a female martial artist for backup. But you really think you're the only one with some muscle?"
As soon as Alberto finished, a gray-haired man in his fifties slowly stepped forward.
"Arthur, it's your turn!" Idris Morgan said respectfully to the older man.
Arthur nodded and looked at Evan, a bit impressed. "If my old eyes aren't fooling me, this young lady already has Inner Realm skills, right? Not bad, being so young and already an Inner Realm martial artist-your future's got a lot of potential. Too bad you went against the Morgans, so I have to kill you both. But hey, little lady, if you agree to be my disciple, not only will I spare you, I'll even help you become a Grandmaster. How about it?"
"What a joke! A Late Inner Realm nobody like you wants to take my person as your disciple?" Evan scoffed.
Arthur was shocked that Evan saw through him instantly. "Wow, I must be blind-not realizing you're an Inner Realm martial artist too, Mr. Gates!"
Evan sneered. "Inner Realm martial artists are nothing but trash to me. If you kneel and beg for your life, maybe I'll let you go."
"How arrogant!" Arthur snapped. "There aren't many in Chiville who dare tell me to kneel. Who do you think you are? Fine-once I take your head, this girl will see my strength and beg to be my disciple!"
As soon as Arthur finished, he straightened up, and a powerful aura burst out from him.
Boom!
Crack! Crack!
Arthur took a step forward, and the marble floor under his feet split open, cracks snaking out for several meters!
"Is this guy even human?" The whole crowd was blown away by Arthur's power.
