Christian Thubron's face stayed dark, but he did not dare erupt in front of the Crab Sea Envoy.
"Crab Sea Envoy," he said, forcing the words through clenched teeth, "the Thubron family has had traitors rise up these past few days. Most of our people are out hunting them down. There's no one left in the clan who can be offered to the sea."
He swallowed hard and added, "Could you grant us a few days' grace? Once the traitors are captured, the Thubron family will present ten cultivators without fail!"
The Crab Sea Envoy's anger spiked in an instant. Two massive crab claws shot out.
One claw clamped around Christian Thubron's throat as the envoy spoke in a voice like ice. "No. The Sea King… needs them urgently!"
Christian Thubron was a powerhouse at the sixth level of the Spirit Spring Realm. Along the East Sea Coast, he carried real weight.
Yet before the Crab Sea Envoy, he had no strength to resist at all.
Choked until he could barely draw breath, Christian Thubron hurriedly slapped at the crab claw, his voice breaking. "Envoy… tomorrow!"
"Tomorrow, I'll… I'll send clan members to the shore…"
Only then did the Crab Sea Envoy ease up. After tossing Christian Thubron aside, the envoy turned into a streak of blue light and vanished from the Thubron family estate.
Christian Thubron sprawled on the ground, gulping air in ragged heaves. Veins bulged on his forehead, and murder burned in his eyes.
"A pack of beasts, daring to climb onto the Thubron family's head!"
"When I've eaten Kylian Thubron's flesh and drunk Kylian Thubron's blood, I'll seize your Sea King and flay him alive!"
As he spat the vow, his fingers sank into the bluestone beneath him without him even noticing.
He had barely steadied his breathing when another clan member came running.
"Clan Head! We found a lead on Kylian Thubron!"
At the news, the pressure in Christian Thubron's chest scattered by half.
"Hmph. Where?"
The clansman answered, "The Spirit Hound team followed Kylian Thubron's scent all the way to a place called the Skysoar Sect."
"It looks like a newly formed sect, so nobody acted rashly."
Christian Thubron sneered. "Skysoar Sect? What backwater trash sect is that?"
"If you block the Thubron family's rise, I'll wipe out your entire sect!"
"Lead the way!"
…
Skysoar Sect Main Peak.
"Sovereign Lord," a disciple reported, "a group has arrived outside the sect. Their purpose is unclear."
Byron Cutmore had been resting with his eyes closed, thinking about how to recruit more disciple for the sect, when Adelynn Cougle's voice transmission reached his ear.
"A group? Don't tell me they're here to join."
His lips curved. "That would be perfect."
Titus Seagroatt appeared at Byron Cutmore's side and bowed. "Sovereign Lord, they should be from the same clan as the personal disciple, Kylian Thubron."
"They look… hostile toward the Skysoar Sect."
Byron Cutmore narrowed his eyes, one brow lifting. "Oh?"
"Kylian's family?"
Not long after, Kylian Thubron arrived before Byron Cutmore.
"Kylian," Byron Cutmore said, "your clan has come. They're outside the sect. Come with your master and meet them."
The moment he heard that, Kylian Thubron tensed, wariness flashing through him.
*Is master going to hand me back to the Thubron family?*
Byron Cutmore quickly soothed him. "Don't panic. Since you've entered my sect, your business is my business."
"Just remember this. The Skysoar Sect is strong. Stronger than you can imagine. We won't abandon a single disciple."
Kylian Thubron seemed shaken by those words. He fell silent for a long time before speaking hoarsely.
"Master… you saw my right hand. My father said it was a Heavenborn Supreme Hand."
"After my father died, the clan elders wanted to sever my arm and transplant it to Zachariah Thubron, the most talented in the clan."
"So I killed the guards and fled the Thubron family. In the end, you saved me."
Byron Cutmore nodded. He finally understood why Kylian Thubron had ended up at the bottom of that cliff.
He did not tell Kylian the truth, though. It was not some ridiculous Heavenborn Supreme Hand. It was a bloodline awakening.
"Then what do you want to do about the Thubron family?" Byron Cutmore asked. "Kill them all? Or leave them alone?"
Kylian Thubron's face tightened. He was only fourteen or fifteen. No matter what they had done, a thread of attachment still clung in his heart.
"I… I don't know."
Byron Cutmore sighed and flicked his hand at Titus Seagroatt.
Titus Seagroatt understood at once. A surge of Spiritual Power wrapped around Kylian Thubron and sent him out of the Skysoar Sect.
Kylian Thubron jolted in terror. "Master! What are you doing?"
"Making you choose," Byron Cutmore replied.
By the time the words fell, Kylian Thubron had already appeared at the Skysoar Sect's mountain gate.
His sudden arrival sharpened every Thubron family gaze like drawn blades.
"Kylian Thubron's out!"
"Haha! This Skysoar Sect knows what's good for it. They understand how terrifying the Thubron family is, so they obediently handed him over."
"Kylian Thubron, surrender!"
The younger generation of the Thubron family surged forward, weapons flashing as they charged.
But Kylian Thubron was no longer the boy who had fled the Thubron family.
After two days cultivating an Imperial-level Cultivation Method, the bloodline power in his body had grown thicker and fiercer. He had been at the ninth level of Energy Condensation, but he had already reached the second level of the Veinflow Realm.
Compared to Nathaniel Urwin and Denise Lyson, Kylian Thubron's speed still looked slow. Yet as his bloodline power continued to awaken, his cultivation would only accelerate.
Among the Thubron family's youth, Zachariah Thubron was the strongest, and even he was only at the peak of Energy Condensation. Energy Condensation and Veinflow were worlds apart.
In the Veinflow Realm, the meridians expanded. Techniques erupted with overwhelming force, something the Energy Condensation Realm simply could not withstand.
The instant they collided, Kylian Thubron revealed terrifying strength.
A three-pronged Harpoon flashed into existence in his right hand. Blue markings shimmered along his entire arm like living runes.
He swung hard at five charging youths and roared, "Green Silver Entanglement!"
In the next breath, masses of blue seaweed burst up around their bodies.
The seaweed moved as if it had a will of its own, lashing tight and binding all five.
"Pff!"
Kylian Thubron raised the Harpoon and drove it down into the one at the very front.
The sight made the Thubron family members' eyes widen, disbelief freezing them in place.
It was not because Kylian Thubron had killed.
It was because of that move.
"Hiss… that technique… was it created by the First Ancestor?"
"That's right! It's the First Ancestor's signature art, Green Silver Entanglement!"
"The First Ancestor created countless techniques, but most were lost or destroyed. How does Kylian Thubron know this one?"
"Hmph! He must have been hiding things from the family. Capture him. Once we search his soul, we'll know everything!"
"Right! We can't let this brat go! He dared to hoard the First Ancestor's technique. His crime deserves death!"
"He's already broken through to the Veinflow Realm. Juniors, fall back!"
At the elders' shout, the younger generation hurriedly retreated. In the next moment, a wild gale tore through the entire entrance of the Skysoar Sect.
Six Veinflow Realm experts from the Thubron family struck together, dragging the surrounding Spiritual Power into a violent surge.
Kylian Thubron stared at the people who shared his blood. Tears slid from the corners of his eyes.
"You forced me into this."
He shut his eyes. Spiritual Power and bloodline power churned through him at a breakneck pace.
In his heart, he whispered a single word. "Domain."
A ring of blue radiance exploded outward from his body.
His aura climbed, rising fast, rising higher.
Then Kylian Thubron moved first, swinging his three-pronged Harpoon as he charged straight at the six Veinflow Realm experts.
Byron Cutmore sat steady atop the main peak. Titus Seagroatt projected the scene outside the sect before his eyes like a living mirror.
"That move of Kylian's," Byron Cutmore murmured, "looks like the embryonic form of a domain. The Cloudpeak Sect's ancient records mentioned something like it."
"So the Thubron family's ancestor back then…"
He let out a low breath, eyes brightening.
"Was insanely strong."
