My mom had fainted. As soon as I got the call from nanny Zimmerman, I hurried to the hospital. Traffic was horrendous. By the time I arrived, my mom had already been stabilized after emergency treatment and moved to a hospital room. Tubes ran all over her body. My knees buckled, and I nearly hit the floor, but Doctor Justin Casson caught me by the arm in time. "She's stable for now. Don't worry." Doctor Justin Casson's voice was deep and soothing. He said something else, but I didn't catch it....
