Just then, a thunderous roar sounded.
The boundless sea was thrown high into the air.
Boom!
The rear of the Cloud Boat was shattered to pieces.
Many screamed as they were thrown out, falling into the boundless sea.
Titus's Horse Beheading Blade pierced through the ground, stabilizing it. He quickly grabbed Raelyn, who was about to be thrown out, and pulled her over.
The Cloud Boat shook violently, and people rushed out from the closed cabins, everyone scrambling out.
Roar!
A thunderous roar came from below the boundless sea.
The previously calm sea churned, with giant waves rising a thousand feet high. Two immense silhouettes emerged from the dark waters.
At first glance, the size of these two figures was indiscernible.
"Kun Monster Beasts... and there are two of them..."
"Why are there two Kun Monster Beasts?"
The people on the deck turned extremely pale. In the presence of Kun Monster Beasts, whose bodies reached tens of thousands of feet, humans seemed as insignificant as grains of sand.
At that moment, the two Kun Monster Beasts charged at each other with towering waves. Their speed was incredibly fast.
Within a hundred-mile radius, the area was covered by giant waves, and the airflow blocked by the waves made the Cloud Boat shake uncontrollably.
Boom!
The two Kun Monster Beasts collided.
The terrifying airflow swept out, and the already unstable Cloud Boat was further damaged, covered in cracks.
Those at the rear of the Cloud Boat were instantly killed by the shockwave.
"Run, the Cloud Boat can't hold on."
"Quick, release the emergency Cloud Boats." Someone shouted.
In the chaos, several small Cloud Boats were released, and many people rushed to board them, fleeing in different directions.
In the midst of the chaos, Titus saw Yale from Raging Wave Valley board a small Cloud Boat and escape towards the north.
Titus spotted an empty small Cloud Boat nearby. He carried Raelyn aboard, then released his true qi into the control array, activating the small Cloud Boat to head northwest.
After escaping about three miles, the large Cloud Boat could no longer hold on and completely collapsed. The fragmented Cloud Boat was torn to pieces by the airflow, along with some small Cloud Boats that failed to escape in time.
Titus continued to release true qi into the array, propelling the small Cloud Boat at its fastest speed until they were a hundred miles away, far from the Kun Monster Beast area. Only then did he slow down the input of true qi.
"Demon Beasts are truly terrifying. Fortunately, we encountered Kun Monster Beasts and not other types..." Titus thought to himself.
Kun Monster Beasts are territorial Demon Beasts. As long as one doesn't invade their territory or threaten them, they are too lazy to attack other creatures.
Had they encountered the bloodthirsty type of Demon Beast, likely no one on the Cloud Boat would have survived.
“Xenos, where are we?" Raelyn's voice suddenly came from behind.
"Awake?"
Titus looked at Raelyn in surprise. During their escape, he had only managed to feed her the last bottle of a mid-grade healing potion and stopped the bleeding briefly.
Raelyn's breath had been very weak, and Titus worried she might not make it.
But now, Raelyn had managed to sit up, still pale, but her spirit seemed much better.
What puzzled Titus was that he had checked her injuries earlier, suspecting she had been hit in a vital spot. Yet, she recovered so quickly, which seemed unusual.
“Junior Raelyn, how did you recover so quickly?" Titus asked in wonder.
He had used mid-grade healing potions before, and although effective, they were not so potent as to quickly heal severe wounds.
"I..." Raelyn hesitated, not daring to meet Titus's gaze.
Seeing her expression, Titus realized that Raelyn's rapid recovery might be her own secret.
"If you don’t want to talk about it, you don’t have to," Titus said.
“Xenos..."
Raelyn looked at Titus deeply, biting her lower lip as if hesitating about something, then finally turned to Titus and said, "Would you think I'm a monster?"
"Monster?" Titus frowned.
"I recover quickly after being injured," Raelyn said softly.
"Such an ability doesn’t make you a monster. It’s your talent," Titus replied. A stronger recovery ability was normal; some people naturally had unique talents.
"Even if my vital organs are pierced, I can recover within a day," Raelyn said, biting her lip.
Titus was momentarily taken aback.
Noticing Titus's reaction, Raelyn's head dropped. She knew that revealing this would label her a monster.
"Is this ability innate?" Titus asked.
"Aren’t you afraid?"
Raelyn looked at Titus in surprise. People usually distanced themselves from her upon learning of her frightening ability.
And upon hearing her confession, they would quickly keep their distance.
Originally, Raelyn intended to keep this secret hidden forever. However, after what happened, she chose to tell Titus, not wanting to deceive him.
"There's nothing to be afraid of. You can't eat me, can you? In this world, there are many wonders. Having such a unique ability is your talent. You are a living person, not a monster," Titus said.
“Xenos..."
Tears welled up in Raelyn's eyes. She could tell Titus wasn’t just comforting her; he truly saw her as a person, not a monster.
In Heavenly Ultimate Hall, Raelyn rarely made friends. It wasn't that she didn’t want to, but she didn’t dare. Each time she made friends, she kept it shallow, never getting too close.
Getting too close meant the risk of her secret being revealed, leading to being treated as a monster.
Raelyn had been ostracized by her friends more than once. Being distanced was the better outcome; one even turned into an enemy, treating her as a mortal foe, simply because she was a "monster."
"Have you had this ability since childhood?" Titus asked curiously. He had never met anyone who could recover so quickly from vital injuries.
Even in the memories of the Venerable Clowde, he knew some people with unique talents, but none like Raelyn, who could recover quickly from critical wounds.
"Since I can remember, I found that I recovered quickly from injuries. And every time I was injured, the wound would heal completely without leaving any scars. I thought it was just my body recovering faster than others. Until I was eight, I accidentally fell from a height into a deep valley."
Raelyn continued slowly, "I was seriously injured that time, my heart pierced by a stalagmite, and most of my bones were broken. I was in so much pain, I thought I would die. But when I woke up from a sleep, the stalagmite had come out of my heart, and my broken bones had healed."
"When I got back, I learned that I had slept in that valley for a night, and my injuries, including my pierced heart, had healed in just one night."
"And then?" Titus asked.
"After that, I told my friends about it. Then they threw stones at me, telling me to get lost, calling me a monster..." Raelyn bit her lip, her eyes shimmering with tears.
"That's all in the past, don't think too much about it," Titus comforted.
"Okay," Raelyn nodded slightly.
"By the way, weren’t you expelled from Skynet Sect and sent back? How come you were heading to Xanth City?" Titus looked at Raelyn.
"I’ve never known my parents’ origins. After going back this time, I got news about my father, saying he’s from Xanth City. So, I wanted to go to Xanth City to see if my father is there," Raelyn explained.
"Do you have any information about your father?" Titus inquired.
"Yes, my father is from the Yates Family of Xanth City, named Walter Yates," Raelyn replied quickly.
"Having information makes it easier to find him. I'll help you look for him," Titus nodded.
“Xenos, thank you," Raelyn expressed her gratitude.
"No need to be so formal," Titus said.
After chatting for a while, Raelyn, weakened from blood loss, soon fell asleep, while Titus immersed his mind in cultivation within the Ancient Wilderness.
