"Weren't you tired of nitpicking on master Zebulon, Nazareth? How about we have a real battle right here?" Diana purrs as she deepens her claws under Nazareth's flesh, and the pain has changed from subtle to severe.
Diana gives the other woman her moment of relief as she pulls back her hand, which was now turned into claws. She crouches forward a little as her body begins changing its shape and form.
Smooth and silky coat of caramel is seen to be covering the delicate frame of the luna wolf. Her sea green, sharpened eyes were like a charm to set anyone at ease. But the fierceness she has in them right
now was like a storm that could have anyone seized. And Nazareth was suffering from it.
Diana positioned herself straight in her place, following her royalty as she howled excessively like the queen she was.
The entire kingdom was apprised by their queen's howl, along with Alexios, as a smile appeared on his lips while he fought on his own. Many royal wolves gather around Dian, but the queen motions them not to step in between, so they just stand to cheer their queen.
The confidence and unity of Aureliboilils Nazareth's blood as she growls back and runs straight to Diana. She thrashes her fangaton at Diana, but Diana dodges her attack. Which just extends her rage as Shee lands another strike, only to have her paw gripped by Diana.
"Even after stealing our amber and imitating our spirit, you're just as weak as you've always been, Nazareth." Diana scowls sarcastically.
Nazareth then strikes right on Diana's muzzle, and this time she has it, and that too intensely that Diana falls back. This brings a smile of satisfaction to Nazareth's face. Though the smile didn't fade from
Diana's face as well, despite her fall. This was not satisfying to Nazareth. She wants to see Aurelius cry for her mercy. Which she wasn't going to grant in this life.
Nazareth was just attacked once again, but Diana counters back and fangs the queen of Borealis. The scenario then goes on with the two female wolves striking and slashing each other. Nazareth's strikes
were way more powerful and brutal than Diana's. But that didn't have any impact on Diana enough to make her cry, which was something Nazareth was yearning for. But she wasn't getting any of
it.
She crawls further and slashes part of Diana's fur as Diana collapses. "Weak was the word you said, no? Diana?" Nazareth scowls at the latter.
Diana grunts mockingly as she barges back. "Yes. I did say weak. But now I think that pathetic would suit you more."
The words released from Diana's mouth infuriated Nazareth to beat Diana again. And she fangs her nails deeply through Diana's jaw, and Diana entirely lost control and fell heavily.
"Diana!"
The screaming of the Aurelius' queen's name takes Nazareth's attention, and she just smirks when she notices it was the king crying for his queen.
Alexios rushes towards a brutalized Diana, and tears begin rolling down his fur in a blink. "Diana… No…" Alexios cries while soothing Diana.
More Borealis wolves gather around the royal couple with lifeless Aurelius wolves hanging in their fangs. They threw their knights in front of them and surrounded them.
Nazareth walks ahead to the duo and hacks Alexios just like she did to Diana, which makes the man fall next to his wife. Now both Alexios and Diana were blemished relentlessly on the ground with all of
their pack, shredded and helpless, all around. Because of an active loss of strength and spirit, Diana and Alexios shift back into their human form, and now they look as if they were already dead. And even if they weren't dead by now, they will be real quick. Real soon.
Look at yourself. Alexios, Diana. The royal ruler of Aurelius. Rulers of wolf history." Nazareth purrs mockingly as she also turns back into her human shape.
Alexios groans as he replies, "We are not rulers to take control over others. We abide by fairness and justice, and that's our only rule. Everyone is free to be their breed. Everyone is free to express
themselves fairly and have their own time. Own victory."
Nazareth chuckles as she asks, "Oh really? Then where's my victory?"
"I'm not surprised by the fact that you only addressed your victory and not Borealis' victory. Since all you wish about is yourself." Diana voices sarcastically before she adds further. "But even
if we just talk about you, then what is it that you don't have, Nazareth? And victory? You've been ruling this entire nation with no one picking against you. Not even us. It's always you who erupt hatred for
suppression and oppression, even after stealing our amber shamelessly!"
Slap!
The sound and sting of the harsh skin contact was so ominous that Diana thought that she had lost her ability to hear for a second. She was proven wrong immediately when Nazareth started screening.
"Perhaps, I did get my rights. I did get my freedom and my world of living. But, as for the victory, my victory is hidden only in the defeat of Aurelius. Defeat of you!" Nazareth snaps in exasperation.
And the level of irritation in Nazareth just increases as soon as she hears the royal couple laughing in unison, idiotically. Only the laughing wasn't enough that the two even remarked something in unison
which made Nazareth all her control.
"Well then, we're sorry to break it to you, but that's never going to happen."
"Oh really? And who's going to stop me?"
"Azura."
Slash!
And that was the last word Alexios and Diana could speak before Nazareth tore them apart and took their breath away. Their blood was shattered along with Nazareth's hand and face.
Entire Borealis looked at their queen in terror despite acknowledging the intensity of her mercilessness.
Nazareth was breathing heavily as she observed the scene in front of her. It was satisfying to see the king of Aurelius dead at her feet. He's actual victory finally seemed to have happened.
She straightens her head as she howls to her pack. "It's over. Aurelius is over!"
Only if Nazareth knew, it was just the beginning. Beginning of Aurelius.
______
"Huhh… Huhh…"
"Just a few more miles. Clarissa. We're not so far away from our destination."
"Hmph!" The sound of huffing kept surging as the two wolves kept urging in a hurry.
After a few more moments of running hastily through the deep woods, the duo seemed to have reached the summit. There was a warm-looking wooden house around the sheer woods. And it appeared to
be the only house in this area of the forest.
No, they weren't surprised to see this only house here. Neither were they surprised at the fact of who could live here since they already knew it all way too well, and that's why they were supposed
to deliver Azura's life in their hands.
Clarissa looks up at the latter while voicing, "It's time, Narsh. Time for Aurelius. Time for Azura."
The man nods in agreement as they both shift into their human forms and carry Azura carefully. They place the cozy scuttle in front of the entrance of the house. The little girl inside it seems to be sleeping
peacefully with both of her tiny hands subtly clenched in a fist. Clarissa and Nazrsh went in awe at the sight.
"She's probably preparing herself right from now on."
The voice took both Marsh and Clarissa's attention as they turned back and smiled at the person. "Master Zebulon."
"You two did it. You are saviours of Azura." Zebulon remarks proudly at the other two as they smile thankfully.
Narsh then adds to the conversation. "Now we must get back to Aurelius, Clarissa." Clarissa nods before she looks at Zebulon, and he looks guilty.
"Master…" Clarissa murmurs.
"No, no, I'm alright. I just… Feel so at fault that even after having all the chances, I can't save you."
"You are always absolutely right about literally everything but this, master. You aren't at fault. None of us. It is what it is, and it is what had to happen. And we're not hurt by it. We're happy. Happy
because a new beginning is going to happen." Narsh explains in an encouraging tone.
The woman nods at his words as she adds her own, "Right, master. We have to go, but you will have to stay for the others who are bound to be with you in the future. You have to stay with Azura and with
Aurelius."
Zebulon sighs and nods as he lifts his face straight towards the duo. They smile in pride at their master before marking in unison. "For Aurelius."
"For Aurelius," Zebulon repeats before they all bow to each other and start shifting back to their wolf form. They release a subtle howl as they part ways. And the sound, of course, caught the attention of the
A person who was living here in this place.
Soon after, a man with brunette hair and hazel eyes, with farmer-type clothing, appears through the entrance. He looks around to see if there's anyone before the noise of a crying child catches his
attention. He shifts his eyes down and is stunned to see an infant in a scuttle at his entrance.
"Why would someone leave their child here?" He asks himself as he hesitates to carry the baby. However, he had to pick the child up when the noises of crying increased.
He picks the latter carefully in his arms as it starts soothing. "Alright, alright. I got you. Though I wonder why someone would abandon such a child like you? And you're a baby girl!" The man speaks
playfully with the little girl. "My name's Frederick. Frederick Barnes. And what should I call you?" He was tending to ask it mischievously, but he didn't even realise when the girl's expression changed.
It seems as if she was telling something with just her sea minty eyes, eyes understood it way too well. "Azura."
The name came out of his mouth like a spell. He didn't know w,hy aer he didn't pay attention to it. He would have even investigated this mysterious child, now Azura. However, something about her just
signals to him that he must keep her with him. Safe and secure until she's ready. He didn't know for exactly. But yes, that's that.
Besides, "I'm not going to get you in the breezy winter just for the sake of investigation. Maybe we were destined for this, Azura Barnes."
And since that day, Aurelius and Borealis remained a mystery while Azura Aurelius was raised as Azura Barnes.
The question was, will Azura ever unveil her history and the werewolf mystery? Or was it the end of Aurelius? And the beginning of Borealis?
Well, as per destiny, it was the time. Time for the alpha. Alpha from Aurelius.
