I feel so stressed and shocked upon hearing the "you'll be the next queen" words coming out of my father's mouth. I love my dad so much, despite having no mom to teach me all the princess stuff. Instead, I have an evil stepmother and stepbrother. I'm pretty sure they're going to kill Dad when they find out about the shocking news that I'm going to be the future queen. I'm going to celebrate my 18th birthday in three days, and ugh, that'll be awkward!!
"Hell,o are you still in the? You need to wake up, Lenora!" Lydia speaks as she tries to wake me up.
"Listen, I need to sleep to figure out stuff going on in my head because apparently, I can't focus on anything apart from my birthday. I don't know how many people will be present on that day, but I just don't
want to celebrate anything related to my birthday!" I say, opening my eyes.
"Listen, you are my fire, nd and I love you for who you are. Don't be so negative, just look at things differently! Cute guys will be invited to your birthday, a nd you will surely fall in love, I hope so!" She says in a comforting tone.
"Cute guys? Lydia, I don't want cute guys. I want to stay in my room and read more books. I don't want a party or stuff like that. I know I'm weird, but that's me!" I say, a little annoyed
"What kind of princess are you?" she questions. You're lucky to have everything your heart desires, but you're taking everything as a piece of shit!" she says, getting closer to me on my bed.
"Not everybody can be in a royal family or be part of the Royal family. I am so tired of you every day looking for different excuses because you don't want to hang out with or even celebrate your birthday for
God's sake." She says in frustration.
"I am so sorry, Lydia! I mean, I don't know what is wrong with me. I will try to participate on my birthday, and I promise to make it up to you!" I say apologetically.
"Yeah, love you!" she says, smiling and hugging me. "Now," she says. "You need to show, and I'll get your hair done because I have a surprise waiting for you!" she says excitedly, freeing me from her
hugs.
"I wonder what it'll be," I say, standing up and grabbing my towel.
"I'll tell the maids to get us some hot coffee ready." She says.
"Okay, my little human, got to soap!" I say, closing the bathroom door behind me.
Lydia
Lenora is acting like a real bitch. Her Dad was friends with my dad, and that always makes her superior to me. She is a prince, and I'm just a friend to her. I'm so tired of her treating me like some charity
cases!
I'll make sure to destroy her and show people why she never sits at the royal table during the full moon.
"Excuse me, ma'am, may I come in?" A maid from behind the top-penned door of Lenora's room says, bringing me back to consciousness.
"Yeah," I say. "What is it?" I ask.
"The king would like to talk to Princess Lenora about personal family stuff." She says eyes looking down.
"Okay, she is coming," I say, standing up.
"Ok, ma'am." She says and leaves.
Everything is always about Lenora and her fancy life!
"Lydia, who was that?" she asks from the other side of the bathroom.
"Just a maid telling me that you are needed for some kind of family meeting," I say in disbelief.
"Ok, then can you please get me that blue short dress with sparkles on it in the closet?" she asks in what I guess angelic tone.
"Ok, I'll have it ready for you on your bed!"
"Thanks, my angel." She speaks. Angel yourself, if I say to myself. I take her blue short sparkly dress from the closet and put it on her bed. I stare at the dress for a moment, and I feel so hurt by the lack of
recognition I get from the royal family.
"Hey, why do you look so sad?" Lenora asks, snapping me back to reality.
"Nothing dear, I…"
"Don't you dare lie to me," she interrupts. "You know I'm a vampire, and I know when someone lies to me or not. And you know how bad I hate liars? Now tell me why you are sad?" she asks in an
interrogative tone.
"Hahaha," I burst out laughing. "And I'm a human," I say, looking her directly in the eye. "We humans love acting, you know, I was just making out a new expression for the audition on Tuesday," I say in
sarcasm.
"Oh, I'm sorry for acting weird!" she says.
"This is your dress, and I guess you know that you're needed, maybe next time I'll give you the surprise," I say.
"Ok, I guess I'm going to dress up for the meeting then." She says, looking at the door behind me.
,,k Lenora, I've got to go anyway! Take care of yourself." I say, making my way to the door.
"Lydia, about the surprise?" she asks, stopping me in my tracks.
"Well, about that," I say, glancing at heIt'llt'll have to wait," I say, turning the doorknob and getting out of the room without even giving her the chance to reply.
Very soon, that bitch will know the true definition of pain!
