The door was kicked in a dramatic way as if to catch our attention. It worked as all the cadets, including me, suddenly looked in front and saw a man in his earl30s 30s walking behind the podium. While others were eyeing him with admiration, I curiously stared at him. 'Judging by the way he confidently went straight up the podium, he must be the instructor I wrote in my novel. What's his name again?' "No need to introduce yourself to me, I know that some of you have already introduced yourself to your fellow cadets." Thank heavens we don't need to introduce ourselves anymore. "I can tell that some of you must not have slept due to the excitement and anxiety of being here for your first day of class." He chuckled before changing the look on his face. He became more serious. "Now remember, there's no time for courting or having any romantic relationships as this academy has changed. The Glacial Sphere you once knew is now different. The challenges you face here will become harder as you advance to the next grade." He paused for a while, then continued, knowing that his students all listened eagerly to him. "Not only that, but you will all be attending several competitions, you will also have to face real-life combat situations, and compete with the other students in different grades. Anticipate learning just how daunting the real world can be." A mischievous smile appeared on his face as a chill went down my spine. 'Combat Situations? Heck, I didn't even know a thing about fighting in my world. I suppose I need to attend this training to learn how to defend myself and survive in this world.' "My goal is to push you to be the best version of yourselves. So look alive and be more competitive. Do you all understand?" "YES SIR!" All of them shouted in unison. He finally let out a laugh. "Okay then, sorry for the late introduction. I'm Jude Moonhamn, and I'll be your instructor for the whole year. Some call me strict, but I prefer to think of it as setting high standards." "Si,r what about your rank? Can you tell us?" One of the student asked followed by a lot of 'ooh'. "Do I have to tell you? It's not that high." Instructor Jude timidly said, but in reality,y he confident in his world rank? "Tell us!" "Tell us!" Almost all of the students shouted in unison. "Haha. Okay, okay. Calm down now. I have a ranking score of 5688, placing me at 10,234 worldwide. My class rank would be Elite Grade C." The students were visibly impressed. With approximately 5 million Heroes worldwide, being ranked 10,234 indicates that he's powerful. "I believe that covers my introduction." Judging by the students reaction, Jude can't help but release a grin on his face. "It's still your first day, so rest assured that there won't be any special training, but I assume that all of you have completed their morning training, yes? It's always important to train so that your skills won't deteriorate." 'Oh shoot, I forgot.' "Let's talk about the academy's Glacial Sphere standards. After you graduate, the guilds will only look at your grades so make sure to prioritize in aiming for higher points. We, your instructors, will adhere to strict and accurate grading. Failure to meet objectives shall result in repeating this semester. Remember that you will only be given one chance. One more and you'll be immediately expelled. Failure of becoming a hero may lead you to other jobs such as becoming a mercenary, hunter, or even a thiefling, a fate I assume you wish to avoid." Amused that the students were wide-eyed and seemed to be shocked by what he said. He scanned the whole class. "Hmmm. Glad to know that I see familiar faces in my class." 'Yup, and now I'm regretting my life choices when I chose to place the main characters and some of the side characters here.' Other than the two MCs, there are Whitney Owen, Meredith Cortez, Christine George, and Angela Forbes. Since the two MC's are rivals, they were seated far away from each other. Edge Killian sat beside with Ezekiel Owen. Christine George is seated beside Cypher Nox. Meredith Cortez is seated at the front while Angela Forbes is seated behind her. "Your first assignment for today will be 'Selecting your Main Weapon'."
