How could I get close to them with a dagger as my weapon? Maybe I should give it a try. I jolted up from my armchair as I looked around for a marker, then I ran at a wall and drew a circle, symbolizing the target. Then I walked ten steps away from it as I positioned myself with a dagger, ready to be aimed at the wall. I relaxed all my nerves and focused on the target. Ding! Dong! I flinched as I hardly threw the dagger at the target, causing it to bounce back to me. "Oh, shoot!" I quickly ducked before the dagger was about to hit me. Heaving a sigh of relief, I looked behind me as I saw my dagger stuck in a pillow. 'That would've been me if I didn't react fast enough.' Ding! Dong! Once again, the doorbell rang. Annoyed, I went to open the door. It was a room-service robot. This robot is more futuristic and more advanced than my real world. Equipped with advanced sensors and AI algorithms, the room-service robot could navigate complicated environments with ease. It also has arms that could carry objects of various shapes and sizes, from delicate glassware to bulky luggage, with the utmost care and precision. {Remillia Lockhart. Please take your baggage.} "Huh? How come I have baggage? I didn't bring anything with me aside from my personal belongings." The robot ignored me as it went to another door. I looked at the box on the ground. With a curious stare, I picked it up and brought it in. I looked at the note on top of the box. [Heroic Federation of the Armed Forces Academy Rank 925 Remillia Lockhart's Personal Belongings] 'I think I have the lowest rank?' I finally opened the box, but what greeted me was a flash of bright light. So bright that it hurt my eyes. "Ahhhh!" I shrieked. I looked like a vampire who was afraid of the sun. I dropped the box as I rubbed my eyes. After soothing the pain, I glared at the box and picked it up. 'Is someone playing a prank on me? And what is up with that bright light?' [INITIATION COMPLETE!] I suddenly heard a robotic voice. "Huh?" [DOWNLOADING REQUIRED SYSTEM RESOURCES] Once again, I heard the voice, but it seemed like it sounded from my mind. I tried to move but found myself stuck. Panic started to creep inside me as it made it harder for me to breathe, but that only lasted for a moment as I calmed down and patiently waited. Fortunately, I didn't have to wait that long as I soon heard the voice again. [HERO MAKER SYSTEM, INSTALLMENT COMPLETE] [THIS SYSTEM WILL HELP YOU EARN POINTS IN BECOMING A HERO! GOOD LUCK!] I can now move freely. Before I could say something, the robotic voice seemed to change into a cute little boy's voice. A white glowing orb suddenly appeared in front of me. I stared at it in a daze as I tried to poke it, but it only passed through. "Then how can I give you a name and appearance?" "Okay..." The orb sounded happy and excited. I just ignored it. Moments later, the glowing white orb suddenly began to change colors as it slowly sent off electric sparks. POOF! A cloud of dust covered my sight as I shooed it away from me. A figure suddenly soared high up into the ceiling as it flapped its wings gracefully. A majestic tiger owl was circling above me. "Come here." As the owl descended to land softly on my outstretched arm, I couldn't stop myself from caressing its head. "Macaron." [1] Silence passed between them as Macaron looked at me, dumbfounded. <...Master, I'm disappointed in you. I wanted a cool name, why you gonna give something cute?> Now she's the one to be dumbfounded. This owl is so feisty. "Wha-? Hey! Macaron's a great name though." Macaron didn't answer anymore.
