"Emissaries, I am Aaron Noel. Please listen to what I have to say." Aaron respectfully bowed to the two emissaries, his eyes glancing at Ryan with harsh, killing intent.
"I'd be delighted to hear you," the charming woman said after studying Aaron for a moment. She seemed intrigued by the rift between Ryan and the Noel Clan. With a smile, she waved her hand, indicating for Aaron to speak. Aaron was elated and his face softened at the acknowledgement.
"Bitch!" the woman in black clothes snorted. She glanced at the charming woman and gave her a hard look.
The charming woman simply shrugged and returned the look dismissively.
Aaron could feel his heart pounding in anticipation. Beads of sweat dripped from his forehead.
He realized that not only did he fail to capture the charming woman's interest, but he also nearly fell into an illusion and lost his mind.
Although it lasted only a few seconds, the experience terrified him.
"She's like a spider, spinning her web and waiting for prey," Aaron thought.
Collecting his courage, he finally said, "Emissaries, Ryan is a traitor to the Noel Clan. Such a traitor cannot be recommended by the Elder of Soshill Sect. This token must have been obtained through improper means. Also, Ryan has no spiritual meridian. He was a waste who could not cultivate at all. If someone like him becomes a disciple of the Soshill Sect, he will only destroy your noble reputation."
Hearing Aaron speak ill of him, Ryan was absolutely livid.
"No spiritual meridian? That's a lie!" Ryan interjected.
The emissary in black became interested in the scene unfolding. She stepped toward Ryan and gently placed her palm above his head, milky-white icy spiritual energy surrounding her fair hand.
"Sure enough, there is no spiritual meridian!" she announced after studying him for a while. Whispers and murmurs immediately erupted from the crowd. Everyone despised Ryan, convinced that Soshill Sect would never accept a waste without a spiritual meridian as their disciple.
Hearing the woman in black say he had no spiritual meridian, Ryan began to doubt himself. He had undoubtedly regained his spiritual meridian. Why was the emissary unable to detect it?
"Have I regained some magical spiritual meridian that can't even be detected by the warriors of Bone Reinforcement?" Ryan thought to himself.
This was bad news for Ryan. If the emissary thought he had no spiritual meridian, there was no way Soshill Sect would accept him. As the Noel Clan said, he would never be accepted as a waste without a spiritual meridian.
"Although, I find it a little odd," the woman in black said thoughtfully. "I can't feel his spiritual meridian. But how is he able to reach the third grade of Dermal Fortification without one? And why are the other meridians in his body very wide and suitable for cultivation?"
She did not immediately dismiss Ryan's powers, sensing there was definitely something unusual.
Hearing the emissary's words, all the warriors were shocked except for the Noel Clan members. They found it hard to believe Ryan had reached the third grade of Dermal Fortification. They had never heard of a waste without a spiritual meridian cultivating to this level, even if Ryan was once a genius of the sixth grade of Dermal Fortification.
Intrigued by the commotion, the charming woman also examined Ryan's powers.
"Maybe this boy has great will!" the woman in black agreed. "If so, he is worth teaching."
She made a decision and said, "There is a token of the Elder in his hand, which means he can become a disciple of the Soshill Sect. Whether he obtained the token through improper means or not is out of my bounds."
"Thank you so much, Emissaries of the Soshill Sect," Ryan said, bowing gratefully. He was unsure why the woman in black approved of him, but he was eternally grateful. She had saved his life.
The Noel Clan was upset with the verdict. Although they did not show it, they were also upset with the woman in black for being responsible for this outcome.
"Ryan! I want to challenge you!" Aaron cried in frustration.
Everyone around looked at Ryan in anticipation. They all wanted to know how a waste who had cultivated to the third grade of Dermal Fortification without a spiritual meridian would respond to this challenge.
The Soshill Sect emissaries simply observed from their positions, not stopping Aaron from challenging Ryan. They were also interested in how Ryan would react.
"What?" Ryan said mockingly. "You already lost to me once before. Didn't you eat enough dirt the last time? Or maybe you just miss the taste of dust?"
Ryan found it amusing that Aaron would challenge him again after his defeat. However, he was delighted at the opportunity to defeat Aaron once more before becoming a formal disciple of the Soshill Sect.
It was the perfect chance to show his worth. Unfortunately, he couldn't kill Aaron under these circumstances.
"Really? Aaron lost to Ryan?" the surrounding warriors were surprised.
This only made Aaron angrier. These warriors thought so little of him. His anger burned, and his intent to kill Ryan became clearer.
"All your big talk needs to be supported with actual proof of strength, Ryan. You're a waste. I can knock you down before you can even start. All this talk of you beating me is a lie!" Aaron said arrogantly with a snort.
He couldn't let the warriors see him as intimidated. The more he showed vulnerability, the more they believed Ryan had defeated him.
"It doesn't matter if you won't admit I defeated you. I will beat you again today!"
"You traitor, I will defeat you!"
"Roar Blitz!" Aaron screamed, slamming his feet into the ground. He formed his fist, carrying the sound of a tiger's roar, and attacked Ryan head-on.
Aaron's Roar Blitz was now stronger than before, surpassing its previous strength and even Ryan's former capacity.
But Ryan was not backing down. "Roar Blitz!" he cried, slamming his feet into the ground and attacking Aaron with the same move.
Boom!
Their attacks collided, creating an explosion. Debris flew everywhere.
After a short while, Ryan receded, retreating dozens of steps before stopping. He felt a surge in his chest but managed to hold back from spitting blood.
"You've broken through the third grade of Dermal Fortification! You're at the fourth!" Ryan spat with cold hatred in his eyes. He finally understood why Aaron had challenged him publicly.
"Damn! Aaron is so shameless! As a warrior in the fourth grade of Dermal Fortification, how could he challenge someone in the third grade?" Some of the surrounding warriors sided with Ryan.
"Yes. There is a big difference between the third and fourth grades of Dermal Fortification! It's a great gap between the inferior and intermediate stages."
Hearing these arguments, Aaron looked distraught. But he knew that as long as he won this battle, all rumors would disappear. No one would mess with him after his victory today.
"You traitor! Die! A waste like you can never become a disciple of Soshill Sect!" Focusing all his strength on his right palm, Aaron screamed and rushed to attack Ryan.
