"Strange, I can't sense any trace of Zane's presence. Could he not be in his room?"
"Impossible. He hasn't shown up for the past three days and specifically instructed us not to disturb him." Outside Zane's room, Chad, with a sword on his back, and Roman, holding a large saber, voiced their confusion.
Their eyes were filled with deep astonishment.
Despite their power, they couldn't detect Zane's aura, which was indeed peculiar.
Meanwhile, inside the room, Zane had vanished from this world.
He was now seated cross-legged in the vast expanse of the universe. His aura steadily rose, and a fierce energy coursed through him, making him resemble an ancient beast, exuding a terrifying presence.
"Phew..."
After an unknown period, Zane slowly opened his eyes and exhaled a breath of stale air.
"Demon Lord's Bloodline!" He murmured, excitement gleaming in his eyes.
This was the bloodline left to him by the Gods' Burial Coffin. Besides that, he had also received a cultivation method and a sword technique. They were, respectively, the Demon Lord Technique and the Burial Sword Technique.
"Kid, now that you have inherited the Demon Lord's legacy—his bloodline, his techniques, and his sword moves! As I expected, you'd mastered the first three moves within the first three years. Well done!" In the vast starry sky, the comforting voice of Coffino resonated.
"Thank you, Mr. Coffino." Zane stood up, his expression respectful as he bowed to the void.
He was inside the Gods' Burial Coffin. Outside, only three days had passed, but inside, it had been three years!
In these three years, not only had he received the legacy from Coffino, but he had also become proficient in the Casson family's cultivation method.
Coffino, without a body or form, responded with a distant laugh.
"To activate the Time Overlap Realm requires the Time Wheel! This time, the activation has consumed all the energy of the past Time Wheel. You will need to find another Time Wheel in the future to continue training here."
A wave of disappointment washed over Zane. After all, training here for one year equated to a hundred years in the outside world. If he could train here for ten years, he would emerge invincible when he returned.
Yet, the man quickly felt invigorated again.
Zane etched the words "Time Wheel" into his memory.
With this thought, Zane's breathing quickened, and he quickly bowed respectfully again. "I understand, Mr. Coffino."
"Alright, then go on out."
At that moment, space distorted, and a vortex appeared.
When his vision refocused, he found himself back in his room.
"Demon Lord?"
The name was unfamiliar to Zane. But he knew it likely belonged to a powerful entity from a higher realm, even if Coffino hadn't divulged everything to him.
He clenched his fist, feeling the explosive power within him. He was now in the fifth level of the Celestial Realm.
Not only had he broken through to the Celestial Realm inside the Gods' Burial Coffin, but he had also restored his former level from a year ago. And now, compared to a year ago, he was worlds apart!
"Once I find out the person who excavated my bloodline and threw me into the Abyss of the Forsaken back then, I'll drain every drop of your blood!" Zane spoke coldly, a deadly glare flashing in his eyes.
Taking a deep breath, Zane adjusted his emotions. Sensing the two outside the door, he immediately got up and walked out.
Opening the door, he saw Chad and Roman and greeted them respectfully. "Greetings, Mr. Chad. Greetings, Mr. Roman."
Chad and Roman were stunned.
"Zane, you... you've regained your cultivation!" They exclaimed in shock.
Zane smiled. "Thanks to the family's support. I won't let you guys down."
"Hahaha! Amazing! You're truly worthy of being our Casson family's young master!" Roman laughed heartily.
Chad also looked at Zane with satisfaction, nodding repeatedly.
"Mr. Chad, Mr. Roman, let's head to the Greaves Residence now," Zane suggested.
The Casson family was currently facing a financial crisis, and it was best to reclaim those few million spirit stones.
"Alright!"
Chad and Roman nodded appreciatively, following behind Zane.
At this moment, Coffino's voice echoed in Zane's mind.
"Tsk, there's something more than meets the eyes about the Casson family."
"Oh? How so?" Zane responded curiously. He stole a glance at the excited Roman and the calm Chad.
"I opened the Time Overlap Realm for you twice and lost my sensory perception! But if my feeling is not wrong, the nine elders are definitely not at the Misthaven Realm as you mentioned."
Hearing this, Zane's heart stirred. "Could they have reached the Saint Realm?"
The Saint Realm comprised Saint King, Saint Sovereign, and Saint Lord.
His heart raced at the thought.
Could it be his family's background was even more powerful than he imagined?
"I don't know; you'll have to find out yourself."
Zane used his perception to sense the two, but they still gave off the aura of the Misthaven Realm. He decided not to dwell on it. The stronger these elders were, the better it was for him.
It also determined his attitude towards the Greaves family—whether to be assertive or even more domineering!
...
Soon after, the three arrived at the entrance of the Greaves Residence.
"I'm Zane Casson, the young master of the Casson family."
The guards sneered. "Oh, it's the young master of the Casson family. The one rumored to be a loser now. Wait here; I'll make your arrival known in a moment."
"That's right. Mr. Greaves is entertaining important guests. He'll see you when he's free." The guard at the gate spoke lazily, emphasizing the words "important guests."
In the past, Zane had always approached the Greaves family politely and courteously as he was pursuing their young lady.
Now that their young lady was seeking higher connections, these guards had grown arrogant, too.
Zane let out a contemptuous laugh, narrowed his eyes, and kicked the guard in the chest.
Boom!
The dull sound was like thunder. With a boom, blood erupted from the guard's chest, and he flew backward, crashing through the gate!
When the guard landed heavily, he was like a rag doll, his life or death uncertain.
"How dare you attack us!" The other guards trembled violently, speaking in shock.
Zane walked inside. "If you don't want to die, get out of the way. How dare you nobodies act arrogantly before me?"
The guards dared not block him any longer. Their eyes were filled with terror as they moved aside.
Chad and Roman exchanged glances, grinning as they leisurely followed.
The news of Zane's commotion reached the ears of Landry quickly.
Landry's face darkened instantly. "Hmph, he is reckless. Today, I'll teach him a lesson on his family's behalf."
"Hah! Truly laughable. I'd like to see who dares to teach me a lesson!"
Just as Landry finished speaking, a disdainful laugh came from outside the door.
Dressed in white, Zane walked in with a divine elegance as Landry's face twisted with anger.
"Zane, kneel before me!"
