At that moment, it wasn't just Samuel who was shocked.
Upon hearing the sudden voice, everyone in the room, except for Savannah and her family, was rage-filled.
It was Raymond who spoke up.
Why did he always have to meddle in everything?
But at that moment, everyone was too focused to scold Raymond because Samuel was furious.
"Selina? Aren't you Savannah?"
Samuel raised the contract in his hand, demanding of Selina.
"I, I am not..."
Selina was terrified by Samuel's fierce demeanor, stammering and unable to respond.
Meanwhile, everyone's gaze swiftly turned to Savannah.
So it turned out that the Yale family's granddaughter Samuel wanted to meet was not Selina, but Savannah.
"Mrs. Yale, Mr. Quinny, you've played quite a trick!"
Samuel was so angry that he tore the contract into shreds, glaring fiercely at Sophia and Isaac.
"I..."
Sophia and Isaac panicked, not daring to meet Samuel's eyes.
"Hmph!"
Samuel gave a cold snort, ordered his secretary to fetch a new contract, and approached Savannah.
With both hands, he respectfully offered the contract to her.
"I apologize, Ms. Yale. I mistook you earlier, it was unintentional. Please forgive me!"
Before Savannah could respond, Samuel quickly added, "Ms. Yale, if you sign this contract, I am willing to offer an additional two dividend points as compensation."
Samuel's words caused an uproar.
Everyone gaped in disbelief, unable to believe what they were hearing.
After all, regarding the Ethereal Haven project, according to the Yale family's calculations, securing three dividend points would have been an outstanding achievement.
But who would have thought that Samuel would offer two additional dividend points?
Everyone in the Yale family seemed dazed by this sudden fortune for a moment.
Lily excitedly urged Savannah, "Savannah, sign it!"
"This..."
Savannah was still processing, holding the pen.
She looked at Raymond in confusion.
Everyone else had forgotten, but she remembered Raymond's earlier words.
How could he have foreseen this?
"Savannah, since Mr. Linnit is so sincere, you should sign it."
Raymond said with a slight smile, seeing Savannah's hesitation.
"Oh!"
As the project manager of Yale Corporation, Savannah hoped for the family to collaborate with Starlight Group.
Moreover, Samuel was willing to make such concessions, so how could she refuse to sign?
"Alright, Ms. Yale, the contract is in duplicate. With your signature, our collaboration officially begins."
Seeing Savannah sign, Samuel finally let out a sigh of relief.
As if worried she might change her mind, Samuel quickly signed his name and handed Savannah one copy of the contract.
"I'll arrange for someone to contact you regarding the specifics tomorrow."
After signing the contract, Samuel didn't say much.
He bid farewell only to Savannah before getting into his car and leaving.
The Yale family was still in a daze, watching Samuel's car drive away.
Earlier, they could speculate about Samuel and Selina's relationship with a skewed perspective, but now, they didn't dare speculate about Savannah.
After all, Samuel's attitude earlier was not inappropriate or ambiguous.
It was genuine respect.
"Savannah, quickly... give the contract to me!"
After such a rollercoaster of emotions, Sophia was overwhelmed with excitement. Her voice trembled as she stepped forward, trying to take the contract from Savannah.
"Hold on!"
Just as Savannah was about to hand over the contract, Raymond stopped her.
"You useless fool! What do you mean by this?"
Sophia glared at Raymond.
Although she wouldn't expel Raymond, she could still subject him to punishment.
"Grandma, didn't you hear what Mr. Linnit said? Savannah signed this contract in her capacity with Starlight Group. It seems to have nothing to do with the Yale family."
Raymond smirked, holding up the contract.
Sophia's brows furrowed.
She had only been thinking about Samuel's concession and hadn't realized that Savannah had signed the contract in her capacity.
It didn't even have the Yale Corporation stamp.
"Grandma, I..."
Hearing Raymond's words, Savannah was anxious, wanting to explain.
She had only been focused on signing the contract and hadn't considered this point, having no personal agenda.
"Grandma, don't listen to this fool's nonsense. Doesn't the contract Savannah signed represent the Yale Corporation?"
"Exactly, Savannah is our project manager. Her signature represents the Yale family."
Seeing Savannah's embarrassment, John and Selina seemed to have found a new reason to attack her.
"Hmph, didn't you just say Grandma would revoke Savannah's position as project manager? How come you're acknowledging her now?"
Raymond had been waiting for their words and immediately retorted with a cold smile.
"You..."
John and Selina were rendered speechless, their faces turning purple with frustration.
Alvin and Lily, who already found John and Selina annoying, felt satisfied at their embarrassment.
Moreover, the couple's perception of Raymond began to change.
In their view, Raymond's behavior was different from any other time as if he had become a different person.
Could five years in prison change a person completely?
"We're all family. Why distinguish between personal and collective? Savannah, give the contract to Grandma!"
Despite being shocked by Raymond's transformation, Alvin dared not defy Sophia.
"Grandma..."
Savannah was caught in a dilemma.
"Hmph! You're all grown up now and start helping an outsider!"
Sophia, feeling embarrassed, snatched the contract.
Raymond's eyes flickered with a barely noticeable anger.
To these members of the Yale family, he was always an outsider.
"Grandma, you can hold the contract. But as I said, Savannah signed the contract. Whether Mr. Linnit wants to cooperate with you can't be blamed on us."
The Yale family's banquet had no reason to continue with Samuel gone.
Raymond left with Savannah's family.
"Grandma, this fool is too arrogant! Are we going to let him get away with this?"
Watching Raymond's departing figure, John and Selina gritted their teeth in frustration.
Raymond had posed a severe challenge to their dignity.
"Don't worry, he won't get away with it for long!"
Isaac also glared at Raymond's direction, seemingly considering something, then turned to Sophia:
"Grandma, we have the contract now. We can discuss cooperation with Starlight Group's representative tomorrow. By the way, the new commander will be taking office in a few days. We should prepare some gifts. Connecting with the commander will greatly benefit the Yale family's future development."
"The new commander taking office? Yes, I've heard about it, and preparations are underway."
Hearing this, Sophia seemed to snap out of her previous anger. "Don't worry, once the contract is settled, we'll attend the welcoming ceremony together."
