"'Demon' is just what people call me out of prejudice. The truth is, I'm actually the head of Lostaria Palace," the gorgeous woman said.
"Lostaria Palace? Never heard of it," Ian said.
"It's normal you haven't heard of a hidden sect. Don't worry, I won't hurt you. But if you don't help me, you won't be able to get out of this cave," the woman said.
"What do you want me to do?" Ian asked.
Seeing how pitiful the woman, Alina Jenkins, looked and that she didn't seem like a dangerous demon, he relaxed a lot.
"Just pull out the Dragon Soul Sword and use it to break those chains," Alina said, glancing at the stone wall.
Ian followed her gaze and saw a black sword hilt sticking out of the stone wall, the blade completely buried inside.
Lying under the sword were dozens of skeletons, surrounded by broken knives, shattered swords, and all sorts of weird weapons. Obviously, there'd been a big fight here, but how the Dragon Soul Sword got stuck in the wall was anyone's guess.
Seeing all those skeletons, Ian was too scared to step forward.
"Those bones have been here for ages. There's nothing to be afraid of. Come on, help me out and I promise I'll reward you," Alina urged.
"How are you going to reward me?" Ian asked.
"You've got incredible potential- a once-in-a-lifetime talent for cultivation. I'll teach you everything I know to thank you for saving me," Alina said seriously.
"Everyone says I'm an idiot. How could I be talented? Are you messing with me?" Ian said, still suspicious. He'd always thought of himself as a fool, and didn't realize that when he hit his head earlier, he'd actually snapped out of it.
The man was so shaken by meeting the legendary demoness, he hadn't even noticed he was back to normal or remembered Yvonne was still up there being bullied by Elijah.
"Why would I lie to you? I might be a woman, but my word's as good as gold. If I say I'll do something, I mean it."
At that, Alina shot Ian a flirty look and said, "If you want me to repay you with my body, that's not totally out of the question."
"I-I wouldn't dare! That's not what I meant at all. Please don't joke about stuff like that," Ian stammered, blushing bright red. Just thinking about doing something like that with a demoness was way more than he could handle.
But when their eyes met, Ian felt like he was hypnotized. It was like he was under a spell, as he couldn't help but walk over to the sword.
He grabbed the hilt with both hands and pulled with all his strength, but the sword didn't move an inch.
"I can't get it out. I can't help you," Ian said, panting.
"Come here. I'll give you some of my power. Then you'll be able to pull the sword out," Alina said.
As if in a trance, Ian walked over to Alina.
"Put your hands on mine," she told him.
As soon as their hands touched, Ian felt a jolt of energy, like electricity running through him. Alina's power kept pouring into his body.
After about ten minutes, Alina was drenched in sweat and looked totally worn out, but Ian felt stronger than ever.
"Alright, now try pulling out the sword again," Alina said.
"You got it!" Pulling up with his new strength, Ian ran over to the sword.
He grabbed the hilt, took a deep breath, and yanked as hard as he could.
With a loud "thud," the sword popped out of the stone wall!
Instantly, the sword lit up, flooding the whole Demon Sealing Cave with blinding light!
It was a giant sword, the blade shimmered with energy and gave off a chilling cold.
The snow-white blade trembled, letting out a weird sound: part tiger's roar, part dragon's howl!
Ian looked closer and saw the name carved into the blade: [Dragon Soul Sword]
Finally out in the open again, the legendary sword gleamed with a fierce, almost bloodthirsty light like a wild beast breaking free from its cage.
