Castiel's eyes lit up the moment the door opened in an elegant and refined room on the second floor.
The spacious room was filled with luxurious furnishings, but the pink decorations all over the walls added a distinctly girlish vibe. It was clearly a girl's room.
"Mr. Lawne, right this way!" Larry led the way, hurriedly leading Castiel over to the big bed.
Lying quietly on the white bed was a beautiful girl. Her eyes were shut tight, her brows slightly knitted, and her oval face was deathly pale, her lips pressed together. She looked a lot like the girl who'd been talking earlier.
The woman had been unconscious for a long time, but even while out cold, one could see pain etched between her brows.
"Adelyn has been frail since childhood, and she's spent most of the last two years in bed, and lately, her blackouts have been lasting longer and longer," Larry said, standing beside the bed, his face full of sadness he just couldn't hide.
"We've looked everywhere in Chiton for the best doctors, but nothing's worked. Mr. Lawne, I'm begging you, please save her," Evan Lyson, standing at the bedside, pleaded with tears in his eyes, his voice trembling with emotion. Though he knew little of Castiel's abilities, the fact that even Larry had enlisted such help gave him a newfound trust in the man.
A few people standing not far to one side glanced toward Adelyn's bedside, their expressions growing noticeably serious.
"Alright. Everyone, please step outside. I need to examine her," Castiel said, standing at the foot of the bed, a flash of surprise in his eyes.
At these words, everyone froze for a second.
"You want us to leave?" Xavier's face fell.
"Enough. Everyone, follow me out. If anyone interrupts Mr. Lawne, don't blame me for using our family's punishment," Larry commanded, his tone with undeniable authority.
With Larry's word, everyone obediently headed for the door.
"Hmph! You'd better heal my sister, or I'll make you pay!" Zoe, trailing a middle-aged woman, turned back to Castiel, her eyes wet and fists clenched.

Once the Lyson family left the room, Castiel's face suddenly looked strange. "Why is there so much cold energy inside her?" he wondered.
When he entered, he noticed that the closer he got to Adelyn, the colder it got. There was a weird chill coming from her body.
The balance of energies was essential; such an imbalance was unnatural in a healthy person.
Sitting down slowly, Castiel placed his right hand on Adelyn's pale wrist, his fingers positioned precisely.
When his fingers touched her skin, a wave of cold shot through him, and his brows tightened.
Adelyn's condition was indeed grave.
"Hmm?" His eyes narrowed as his right arm suddenly trembled. Suddenly, a burst of icy energy shot from Adelyn's wrist straight into Castiel's body.
"What is happening?" The man's face changed as the anomaly startled him.
"Wait, this cold energy is so strong. Could it be..." An idea struck him, and excitement flashed across his face.
Smack!
He slapped his waist and pulled out a white cloth bundle. Unwrapping it revealed rows of golden needles.
Castiel grabbed a golden needle without a second thought and zeroed in on the space between Adelyn's brows.
He placed his right hand on Adelyn's wrist, and with a flick of his hand, the needle landed right in the center of her brow.
Two more needles followed, each placed in her temples.
After placing three needles, Castiel hesitated, thinking, "If I can't find the Nightcore convergence point, I can't put in the next needle."
His gaze wandered over her body, a troubled look in his eyes.
"Forgive me," he muttered, feeling the chill intensify in his right arm. He reached out and quickly untied the sash around Adelyn's waist.
With a soft rustle, her clothes slipped off, revealing her body.
But in Castiel's eyes, there was only seriousness. There was no trace of any inappropriate thoughts.
The man raised his left hand, a faint golden light flickering in his palm, and suddenly the temperature in the room shot up.
"Good thing my Lightbane Technique has reached the third level. Otherwise, there's no way I could handle this much Nightcore Energy!" he murmured, feeling a surge of heat in his left hand.
With his palm down, he placed his hand on Adelyn's body.
Adelyn's problem wasn't really a disease. It was actually a super rare condition called the Nightcore Vessel.
According to The Sage Codex, everything in life must be balanced. Adelyn's body had way too much negative energy, throwing everything off.
It just so happened that Castiel's Lightbane Technique gave him way more positive energy than usual. So when he touched Adelyn, her cold energy naturally started pouring into him.
