"Jonah..." Daisy said nervously at the entrance to the fitting room, making sure no one else was nearby. "These dresses are so expensive. I really can't afford them. Why are you still helping me pick out clothes? Let's not try them on. If I mess one up, I can't pay for it! Let's just go, okay?"
"Daisy, listen to me." Jonah gently patted her arm and smiled. "We've been together for over a year now, and you've never minded that I don't have much money. In fact, you're always the one spending more when we go out. Now that I'm finally starting to make some money, I want to buy you some nice clothes, no matter how expensive they are. You can't say no, especially since you look amazing in them. I have to get them for you!"
"Alright then..." Daisy knew how stubborn Jonah could be, so she gave in, took the dress, and walked into the fitting room.
"Jonah, can you come in for a sec?" Daisy called softly from inside, just as Jonah was playing with his phone outside. "I can't get the zipper up."
"Sure!"
Jonah stepped in as the door automatically swung shut behind him. Seeing Daisy in a tight dress that hugged her curves, he immediately felt a surge of desire.
"Daisy." Jonah couldn't help himself. He pressed her up against the wall, leaned down, and kissed her deeply, his hands roaming all over her.
After kissing her hard a couple of times, Jonah grinned. "Daisy, you're so beautiful!"
"We're in public!" Daisy's face flushed red from his sudden move, her heart pounding. She pinched Jonah and whispered through clenched teeth, "Let go! Go wait outside or someone might catch us!"
"I don't want to leave..." Jonah said, his hands wandering, grinning wickedly as he licked his lips. "Why don't we just give it a try right now?"
As he spoke, Jonah quickly undid his pants and pressed himself up against her.
"No... ah!" Daisy protested weakly, feeling Jonah's heat against her, her own desire flaring up.
Just as things were about to get heated, the sound of high heels clicking on the floor made them freeze in place. Panicking, they hurried to straighten out their clothes.
"This dress looks amazing!" Jonah said loudly as he opened the door. "It's like it was made for you... though the zipper's a little tough. Needed my help to get it up."
As he spoke, Jonah caught the sales assistant glancing at them out of the corner of her eye, then turning away.
Still rattled from the close call, Jonah didn't dare mess around again. He patiently waited while Daisy tried on two more outfits, then they headed to the counter.
After scanning everything, the cashier smiled, "Sir, your total is 8,550 dollars. Will you be paying by card or cash?"
The sales assistant, the one who'd been giving them attitude, looked over at this remark.
"Cash!" Jonah shot the sales assistant a cold look, pulled out a stack of bills, and tossed them onto the counter. "Just ring it up. I don't feel like counting."
After the cashier counted the money and handed back the change, Jonah stuffed it in his pocket, put his arm around Daisy's waist, and walked out.
"Thank you for the gift, babe!" Daisy said with a grin, hugging Jonah's arm tightly as they left the store.
"As long as you're happy. I know things will just keep getting better for us!" Jonah said. "Compared to everything you've done for me, this is nothing. Don't be so polite with me."
Daisy nodded, sneaking a glance at Jonah's crotch, biting her lip. "Are you feeling uncomfortable down there?"
"You know me too well, Daisy!" Jonah swallowed hard. "Perfect timing! How about we go for a few rounds?"
"Pervert! You're so annoying!" Daisy's face turned red as she pinched him hard.
Laughing, they left the mall together, practically running to find a hotel where they could really let loose.
After dropping Daisy off at home, Jonah headed back to his own place and saw his parents still watching TV in the living room. He walked over with a smile and put down the fruit he'd bought on the coffee table. "Mom, Dad, come try some fresh fruit!"
"Jonah, you're finally home!"
"Yeah, tell us, did you really settle things with Luciano? He's not going to make us pay up?"
Ivory and Charlie fired off questions as soon as he walked in.
"Let's eat some fruit and talk," Jonah said, then started telling them the story he'd made up on his way home. He finally pulled out over forty thousand in cash, kept a little for himself, and handed the rest to his parents.
Seeing his parents finally relax and smile, Jonah knew it was time to work even harder. After reassuring them with a few heartfelt words, he headed upstairs to his room.
Back in his room, Jonah chatted with Daisy on the phone for a while. As soon as they hung up, a notification popped up. The city's hospital has received a strange case: a baby with an unusually big head!
