After making up his mind, Nash prepared to begin his body refining.
Back on the Dragon Continent, hardly anyone practiced body refining techniques.
To them, only people without spiritual roots would bother with these low-level body refining techniques.
But now, Nash didn't care about any of that.
As long as he could get stronger and tougher, nothing else mattered.
Although Nash never practiced body refining in his previous life, he still had numerous body refining techniques in his mind, such as the Quaking Fist, the Cloud Palm, and the Indestructible Technique.
These were all legendary techniques handed down by the top experts of body refining on the Dragon Continent.
"Which one should I go for?" Nash wondered, his mind racing.
"That's it! The Body Refining Technique!"
It was once the most formidable body refining method on the Dragon Continent.
The Body Refining Technique works by opening up all 108 acupoints in the body.
Once all the acupoints are activated, the strength can rival that of a cultivator at the Energy Condensation Realm.
More importantly, the Body Refining Technique could refine skin, bones, blood, and even the Eight Extraordinary Meridians.
After refining the skin, it'll be as tough as steel.
The practitioner could also get a huge boost in strength.
A single punch can pack a hundred pounds of force.
Once the bones are refined, the punches will be at least a thousand pounds each.
After refining the blood, the practitioner could kill someone with a leaf.
Plus, the Body Refining Technique even includes another powerful method, the Dragon Body Technique.
The practitioner would have the strength to shake the mountains with a punch.
"Alright, I'm going with the Body Refining Technique!"
Having made his decision, Nash prepared to begin his training.
But his current body was way too weak and skinny.
Before he could start training, he needed to get his body back into shape.
With that in mind, Nash quickly took out the Body Strengthening Tonic and Energy Tonic and drank them.
As soon as he drank them, a warm feeling spread from his energy core.
He could tell the tonic was working.
Nash sat cross-legged on his bed, put his hands in a weird pose, and started cultivating.
Time flew by, and before he knew it, it was morning.
Nash had ended up cultivating all night in his clinic without even realizing it.
As the first light of dawn came in, Nash opened his eyes.
His eyes were sharper and clearer than ever.
His eyes, which had once looked dull and lifeless, now sparkled with energy.
He felt way more energetic than before.
At the same time, some black, sticky gunk started oozing out of Nash's pores, covering his whole body.
He knew these were impurities being expelled from his body.
Once fully purged, his body would be truly healthy.
He stood, took a cold shower, and looked at his rejuvenated reflection in the mirror, nodding with satisfaction.
"What a handsome devil!" he mused.
"Just wait and see! This body will only get stronger and more dashing!"
While training was important, life still mattered.
After changing clothes, Nash stood in front of the clinic, contemplating his next move.
"The clinic must continue!" he thought.
"Otherwise, how will I survive? Am I supposed to rely on my wife to support me?"
Nash took out a small wooden board and scribbled.
He decided to offer free treatment.
"I refuse to believe no one will come!" he thought, sitting confidently at the door, training while waiting for patients.
Time trickled by.
Since Nash offered free medical consultations, a few passersby paused to look.
"Look! This clinic offers free consultations? Is it for real?"
"Ha! It's a scam for sure!"
"Right, there's no way such good fortune would fall from the sky. It's a trap!"
The passersby moved on after their glances.
Nash, however, was unfazed.
After four days, he'd fully adjusted.
Time flew by.
"Hey, do you think Nash has gone mad? Sitting at the clinic door, not eating or drinking all day?"
Remy and his wife, Margo, watched Nash.
Nash sat cross-legged, hands in an odd pose, eyes closed, seemingly lost in some practice.
"Maybe poor business drove the guy crazy!" Remy sighed.
"No way! He didn't have business for a month before and wasn't like this!"
"I don't know!"
"But look, Nash seems different. His energy and aura aren't the same as before!" Margo continued to murmur.
Remy blinked, studying Nash.
"He does seem a bit changed!"
Nash had indeed changed.
He exuded vigor after consuming his self-made tonics.
By evening, someone finally arrived.
It was a poorly dressed elderly woman in her sixties.
Leaning on a cane, she approached Nash's clinic, peering through her reading glasses before speaking.
"Young man, are you offering free consultations?"
Hearing the voice, Nash opened his eyes and quickly stood up upon seeing the old woman.
"Yes, ma'am! Do you need a check-up?"
The elderly woman smiled, "Yes!"
"Could you tell me where you're feeling unwell?" Nash asked.
"At my age, I often feel chest tightness and shortness of breath, sometimes struggling to breathe at night. I wanted my son to take me to the hospital, but he's busy with work," the old woman explained her situation.
Nash glanced at the elderly woman.
Her simple attire and the wrinkles on her face told him she was living alone.
"Your symptoms suggest possible heart or lung function decline. How about this? I have an Energy Tonic for you to take home and try."
As he spoke, Nash handed the old woman a bottle of Energy Tonic.
"How much?" the elderly woman asked.
"No charge!" Nash replied.
"Isn't that unfair? You run a business, you have to make a living!"
The elderly woman, kind-hearted, felt uneasy at the notion of not paying.
"It's alright, ma'am. You can take it first, and when you feel better, recommend me to more customers," Nash said with a smile.
Touched, the elderly woman remarked, "You're such a good kid! Thank you!"
