The old lady left.
Nash stood by the door.
Even though he lost money, he still smiled.
"Another day has passed!"
He packed up his stuff and closed the door behind him, heading back into the clinic.
Once back inside, Nash went back to his training.
He had already lost hope for his clinic.
His earlier big dreams had been crushed by reality.
Suddenly, there was a loud knock at the iron gate.
Nash muttered, "Who the heck is knocking so late at night?"
As he approached to open the gate, a wave of perfume hit him.
Standing there was a gorgeous girl with short brown hair.
She wore a white T-shirt and a denim mini skirt.
She looked like a model, with long, slender legs and a heart-shaped face, accentuated by just a touch of makeup.
Her long lashes framed bright, lively eyes, but a hint of sass was evident in her expression.
The girl looked familiar. She had a Louis Vuitton bag slung over her shoulder and was smiling right at Nash.
Nash frowned, glancing over at Lily's salon next door and the other salons nearby.
"Ugh, not another one of those salon girls!"
"You..." Nash began, but the girl didn't even look at him.
She just walked straight into his clinic.
"Hey, hey, what are you doing?" Nash quickly asked as she entered.
She ignored him, went straight to the fridge, grabbed a bottle of water, took a few gulps, then flopped down on Nash's bed.
Nash was stunned. This girl was bold.
He had to admit she was stunning.
"Hey kid, you're so young. Why would you do that kind of job?"
The girl gave him a weird look. "What are you even talking about?"
"I'm not doing business with you today!" Nash wanted her out.
The girl shot him a glare. "Idiot!"
Then she stuck out her hand.
"What?" Nash was puzzled by her gesture.
"Give me some money, I'm broke!" she said bluntly.
Nash was speechless.
"Kid, you haven't done anything. You want money? Keep dreaming!"
The girl paused, "So what am I supposed to do?"
"Do what you're supposed to do!"
The girl was confused.
"Look, you're still young. Let me ask, how do you girls work over there?" Nash asked.
The girl looked dumbfounded.
"Aren't you one of the girls from the salon next door?"
As soon as the girl heard Nash's words, she jumped to her feet.
"Nash, you jerk! What the hell are you talking about? How dare you say I work at a salon? Are you nuts?"
She grabbed a pillow and chucked it at Nash.
He dodged, bewildered, "So you're not?"
"You idiot!" The girl was so mad that she grabbed the water bottle and hurled it at him.
Luckily, Nash was agile and managed to dodge.
"Wait, if you're not one of the salon girls, then who are you?" he asked quickly.
"You jerk! You eat our food, wear our clothes, even my family gave you this crappy clinic. Now you act like you don't even know me?" the girl shouted.
What was going on here?
"You're from the Ryder family."
"You dumb son-in-law! Don't you even recognize your sister-in-law?" The girl pointed at Nash, her body trembling with anger.
Nash realized the girl was Jessie's sister.
"Uh, sorry! The lights were dim, and I didn't recognize you. My bad," Nash quickly apologized.
"Apologize, my ass! You jerk! After embarrassing me like that, there's no way I'm letting you off today!" Talia Ryder was fuming.
She'd just finished a dance competition at school and was passing by Nash's place to check in on him.
She never thought she'd get mistaken for a prostitute.
"I'm sorry! I didn't realize it was you." Nash knew this misunderstanding was huge.
Talia stuck her hand out. "Forget it! If you don't give me 1,000 today, you're not getting off that easy!"
"What?" Nash thought he'd heard wrong.
"That's right! If you don't pay me a thousand as compensation for humiliating me, I'll tell my sister to divorce you!" Talia declared.
"Are you out of your mind? I'm running this crappy clinic and haven't made a dime!" Nash was angry too.
Jessie and her mother was a pain in the ass.
Now, even his sister-in-law was coming after him.
"Aren't you afraid my sister will divorce you?"
Usually, whenever Talia asked for money, Nash just handed it over.
But today, he was different.
"No way! Forget it! If you want your sister to divorce me, tell her! I'm not scared. Bring it on!"
Nash wasn't going to back down.
