Creak!
The door to the principal's office opened, and Pierce walked in with a grim expression.
Gideon's words stabbed at Pierce's heart. When he turned and saw the slap mark on Dallas's face, his heart ached.
How could anyone bring themselves to hit a five-year-old child?
"Uncle Pierce, is that you?"
Seeing Pierce, Dallas rushed into his arms, his little face flushed with emotion.
"I'm sorry I'm late."
As Pierce gently stroked Dallas's cheek, rage burned inside him, and a murderous gleam flashed in his eyes.
He wanted blood.
He had to kill.
Otherwise, how could he face his brother and sister-in-law?
How could he face Dallas?
Dallas shook his head, fighting back tears.
"Could you please take the kids out for a bit? Let the adults talk things over." Pierce handed Dallas over to Lilith.
Lilith hesitated as if wanting to say something, but finally just nodded and led the kids out.
"So, you're that little bastard's uncle, huh?"
Gideon sat back with his legs crossed and a cigarette hanging from his lips, shooting Pierce a look of disdain.
"You must be Dallas Jackson's family member."
Principal Gloria said with a stern face, "Dallas has been misbehaving at school, ignoring repeated warnings. Today, he hurt Mr. Gideon's precious son. You need to pay up right now and take Dallas with you. Our kindergarten doesn't take in farmers' kids, much less garbage like him!"
Since Gloria had decided to kiss up, she insulted Pierce.
"So, kids from farming families don't deserve an education, right?"
After Lilith took the two kids out of the office, Pierce slowly closed the door and fixed Gloria with a cold stare.
Gideon made him furious, but Gloria left him disappointed.
"Of course, Mariglade Kindergarten is a noble school. We don't just let anyone off the street in here. I can't believe the kindergarten accepted such a bastard in the first place. How dare he hit my son!"
Gideon cursed again.
Smack!
This time, Pierce didn't indulge Gideon's bad habits. He stepped forward and slapped him hard.
Gideon touched his burning face, stunned.
He was one of the leaders in Serpent Gang, with nearly two hundred men under him. Usually, he swaggered around like a big shot, but today he'd been slapped.
"You... you hit me?"
Gideon gritted his teeth. "Do you have any idea who you're messing with?"
"Which hand did you use to hit my nephew?"
Pierce asked coldly, his eyes as cold as death.
With no children present, he could finally take his revenge—no need to hold back.
"My right hand did it. You want to..."
Gideon, defiant, raised his fist, aiming for Pierce's face.
"Right hand. Very well!"
Seeing the fist coming, Pierce suddenly smiled sinisterly. When the punch was just inches from his face, Pierce snatched Gideon's wrist.
Gideon's expression changed instantly. It felt as if he was caught in a vice, unable to move.
"I'm taking this hand!"
Pierce moved.
His left hand gripped Gideon's wrist while his right hand pressed down, fingers clawed, and with a strong press...
Crack!
There was a loud crack as the bones snapped, and Gideon howled, dropping to his knees and begging for mercy.
"It hurts, it hurts! Let go! I was wrong..."
"Too late!"
Pierce's eyes glinted with cold light as he twisted and turned Gideon's fingers three times, leaving his right hand limp, beyond the repair of any orthopedic doctor.
"What are you doing? Dallas hit someone, and now you, as a guardian, are resorting to violence too?"
Gloria slammed the table, determined to be Gideon's loyal lapdog.
"Do you want me to call the cops?"
Pierce released his grip, not because of Gloria's threat, but because Gideon's hand was already completely ruined.
"No need to call the cops!"
Gideon stopped Gloria, turning to glare at Pierce, "Kid, you've got some nerve, no wonder you're so arrogant."
"Do you dare give me ten minutes? In ten minutes, if I don't finish you off, I'll take your name!"
"Ten minutes?"
Pierce shook his head, saying, "Go ahead, call your people. I'll be right here waiting for you."
"You're brave. Later, I'll give you a quick end!"
Gideon took out his phone to call for backup, while Gloria worriedly asked, "Mr. Gideon, do you not need to call the cops?"
"Call the cops? Ha!"
Gideon snorted, "If I can't handle something this small, I don't deserve to show my face on the street."
After speaking, Gideon made another call.
Ten minutes passed quickly.
Bang!
The office door was kicked open, and a rush of footsteps followed. Leading the group was a slim man, cigarette in mouth.
"Mr. Nino, thank God you're here! I got beaten. Look at my hand."
Gideon rushed up, handing out cigarettes, feeling reassured by the number of men outside. Pierce wouldn't escape this time.
Today, he was going to tear Pierce apart.
Nino frowned. He also almost got killed.
"Who dared to bully my men?"
"It's that bumpkin!"
Gideon pointed at Pierce, sitting calmly in a chair.
Thud!
Following Gideon's direction, Nino's knees gave out, and he dropped to his knees in front of Pierce.
"Mr. Nino, what are you doing?"
Gideon was bewildered, reaching to pull Nino up.
"All of you, get down on your knees!"
Nino almost ground his teeth to dust, thinking that if he had known it was Pierce, he wouldn't have dared to come.
After Pierce left the Serpent Club, more than a dozen men from the Serpent Gang were hospitalized, and his trump card, Maxton, was killed on the spot.
"Mr. Nino..."
Fear flickered in Gideon's eyes.
Smack!
Nino slapped across Gideon's face, "All of you, get down on your knees!"
With a wave of his hand, over twenty men inside and outside the room knelt in unison.
"Mr. Pierce, I'm sorry!"
Nino bowed deeply.
Gideon's heart sank, realizing he was doomed.
"Nino, he hit my nephew. She wants to expel my nephew. What do you suggest we do?"
Pierce hadn't expected such a coincidence.
He was satisfied with Nino's attitude.
"Mr. Pierce, rest assured, I promise he will never appear in front of you again."
Nino gritted his teeth, drawing a dagger from his waist, a fierce glint in his eyes.
Nino was vicious and ruthless.
"Mr. Nino, I was wrong! Please don't kill me! I beg you." Gideon panicked.
"You shouldn't have offended Mr. Pierce."
A cruel smile crossed Nino's face.
"Isn't that letting him off too easily?"
Pierce cleared his throat as a reminder.
"I understand."
Gideon was full of fear, and a strong smell of piss wafted up between his legs.
