The Lie Listener

Avery Lane, a PR strategist with an unshakable gift—hearing others’ unspoken thoughts—navigates a web of lies when assigned to crisis-manage Genexis Labs, a company hiding dark secrets about experimental trials. Haunted by constant mental noise, she uncovers her own connection to Genexis: she’s Subject X-13, a product of her mother’s past involvement in their controversial neuro-trials. Teaming with Noah Reed, a conflicted consultant with his own agenda (avenging a lost source), Avery must use her ability to expose Genexis’s exploitation of vulnerable subjects—all while resisting the company’s offer to “silence her gift” and confronting her parents’ role in her traumatic origin.
