As Carver executed the forty-five variations of the Nature's Creation Eighteen Needles, the aging aura on Cyril vanished completely.
The pale and feeble face gained a healthy, rosy hue.
The withered, dull, and lackluster skin transformed, appearing slightly plumper and regaining a natural luster.
The instruments connected to his body showed improvements in heart rate, pulse, and respiration. Although they hadn't reached normal standards, they had increased by almost fifty percent.
With a snap of Carver's fingers, the eighteen golden needles rhythmically vibrated, accompanied by a faint buzzing sound reminiscent of dragonflies' wings.
In just that moment, Cyril's various physical indicators instantly reached normal standards.
Cyril, who had been bedridden for three months, called out in relief, his vitality restored.
The members of the Storm family were even more excited, but to avoid disturbing Carver, they refrained from making any noise.
Half an hour later, Carver absorbed all the golden needles back into his palm. "You can get up now."
"Can I really get up?"
Although Cyril felt a surge of strength in his body, as if he had returned to his state over a decade ago, he still couldn't believe it.
Carver wiped his hands with a towel. "You'll know if you try."
Under everyone's gaze, Cyril, without assistance, sat up from the bed. Edgar's eyes turned red with excitement as Cyril managed to sit up without relying on others.
Taking a deep breath, Cyril attempted to stand up.
Although some were trembling after standing, he undeniably stood up.
Edgar shouted, "Dad, you can finally stand up on your own."
"Thank you, Dr. Larsen!"
Cyril was more excited than anyone else but didn't forget to thank Carver.
All the members of the Storm family bowed in gratitude, saying, "Thank you, Dr. Larsen!"
Carver waved his hand. "I've already received the consultation fee, no need for excessive thanks."
Cyril stood up and asked, "Dr. Larsen, am I cured now?"
"How could it be so easy?" Carver replied. "You're like an old car with a full tank of gas now. Although you can run, you're still an old car that needs maintenance to function properly. So, I'll need to give you acupuncture three more times and combine it with herbal medicine for half a month before you can be considered cured."
"Thank you, Dr. Larsen. Margaret, take Dr. Larsen to rest for now."
"No need. I promised Foster that I would go over tonight. I'll come back tomorrow."
At these words, Cyril was shocked to find out that Carver knew Foster. But he didn't show any signs of surprise on the surface, instructing Margaret, "Escort Dr. Larsen. Your main responsibility these days is to host him!"
Subsequently, after escorting Carver out, the Storm family members returned to the hall.
Edgar exclaimed, "I never expected the legendary Healer of Incurable Diseases to be so young. Even more surprising is his ability to cure diseases instantly and his acquaintance with Wade. His skills and connections are terrifying!"
Cyril said, "If it wasn't for that old friend informing us, our Storm family probably wouldn't have the qualification to know about the Healer of Incurable Diseases in our entire lifetime. So, apart from keeping quiet, we must find ways to deepen our friendship with Dr. Larsen!"
"I agree with your idea."
An energetic and black-haired old man walked out.
Edgar and his brother quickly greeted, "Uncle David!"
Roman David, an early-stage Earth Realm grandmaster, was the Storm family's revered elder.
Nodding at the two brothers, Roman David said to Cyril, "When I observed secretly just now, it seemed like he discovered my presence. Then, I felt my own vital energy locked by a dangerous aura. I don't doubt that any movement on my part would be instantly fatal! So, we must find ways to establish a deeper connection with such a person. Even if it's not possible, we cannot afford to become enemies."
Fully aware that his old friend was not someone who made baseless statements, Cyril attached even more importance to Carver. "Edgar, it seems that the Massey family has already established a connection with Dr. Larsen. We are one step behind, and this won't do."
"Dad, can we give something else?"
Cyril, slyly plotting, smiled. "Dr. Larsen is so young; he probably isn't married yet. Even if he is, such a figure should not have only one confidante, right?"
Sensing the underlying meaning, Cyril whispered, "Go, transfer the general manager of the Jefpombert City branch to the headquarters and let Margaret take over as the general manager. Also, in the next few days, have Margaret observe and find out what Dr. Larsen might lack?"
Edgar quickly understood his father's intentions. "I'll arrange it right away."
...
Foster's residence was originally the Governor's Mansion from over a hundred years ago. After Foster took over as the underground leader of the five provinces, he bought and renovated it as the Wade family's grand mansion. Since it was in the opposite direction from Storm's Villa, when Giselle drove Carver there, it was already evening.
She instructed Carver to come back tomorrow morning, and he headed towards the Wade family mansion.
Receiving a call in advance, Giselle was waiting at the entrance.
However, when Carver approached her, he felt a bit overwhelmed. "Miss Wade, why do I feel like you're intentionally trying to seduce me?"
At this moment, Giselle had changed into a very short and cool sportswear, which was also tight-fitting, accentuating her already explosive and alluring figure even more. Especially the trembling movements as she walked, Carver worried that the straps might not hold and would break.
Giselle smiled charmingly as she approached, naturally wrapping her arms around Carver's. Her body intentionally pressed against his. "Dr. Larsen, would you be willing to fill my emptiness with your strengths?"
The unusual sensation on his arm made Carver feel hot all over. Quickly pulling his arm back, he said, "Let's forget it. I'm afraid I'll be washed away by a flood and won't be able to find my mom."
"Then you can grab onto the handrail; the flood won't wash you away."
As she spoke, Giselle deliberately leaned forward, causing Carver to feel dry-mouthed. He realized that he was like a novice in front of a woman like Giselle. Someone like Cecilia, who was easy to make shy and blush, suited him better.
So, he pretended not to hear and said, "Where is your grandpa? Take me to see him."
Giselle chuckled and came forward, naturally hugging Carver's arm and pressing against him. "Dr. Larsen, you seem quite shy."
Carver, who was already walking forward, stumbled, with black lines on his face. This woman went to such extremes to flirt with him.
However, Carver also understood that a woman like Giselle, with such a background, was not suitable for him.
Pretending not to hear her, he continued walking forward.
Seeing Carver ignore her deliberately, Giselle pouted disapprovingly. With him walking ahead, she followed him towards the mansion.
When Carver spoke about the meeting with Foster, Giselle intentionally said, "Dr. Larsen, you're so timid."
Carver, who was already walking ahead, stumbled, his face full of black lines. This woman was relentless in trying to seduce him.
But Carver also knew that a woman like Giselle, with such a background, was not suitable for him.
He coughed as if he hadn't heard. "Where is your grandpa? Take me to see him."
Giselle laughed and led him to the backyard of the mansion.
"Ha-ha, Dr. Larsen, what an honor to have you here, bringing vitality to this place!"
