In the suburbs of Fenghuang City, development is heading deep into the desert. In recent years, the Luo Group has been conquering the desert by developing plants that grow quickly in sandy environments. As a result, the area of Fenghuang City has been expanding day by day.
However, this area has only completed basic vegetation planting, and the expressway is also under simultaneous construction. Therefore, the roads here are newly built and scarcely populated with vehicles.
At this moment, on the highway in the northern area, there are several luxury cars parked, ranging from Lamborghinis to common BMWs and Audis.
These cars are parked on the roadside, but only two vehicles are in the middle of the road: a silver Ferrari and an ordinary black Audi.
“Has this guy gone mad? He thinks he can beat a modified Ferrari with a regular Audi?” The people around are in chaos. However, Grace Zhao, standing aside with her arms crossed, is watching everything indifferently, paying no mind to their comments.
Everyone is curious about what makes Grace Zhao so confident in the man driving the Audi. Or did she never intend to win in the first place?
Tyler Luo, sitting in the Audi, looks helplessly at Hannah Guan in the Ferrari. It seems like he has no connection to this situation. From Hannah's disdainful look, it's clear she doesn't take Tyler seriously.
Of course, Tyler is not one to fuss over such trivial matters. He just wants to quickly finish this and go home for a good sleep.
"Get ready, the race starts when the hat falls."
At the front center, a woman with a hat raises her hand, signaling to Tyler and Hannah. After receiving their nods, she suddenly throws her hat up in the air.
The moment the hat falls, both cars take off. However, the Ferrari, especially with its modifications, quickly leaves Tyler's Audi behind. The onlookers jeer, “What a waste! that is no need to compete at all.”
“I think you’ve lost your mind, Grace, letting such a loser race against Hannah!”
Ignoring their comments, Grace remains confident, arms still crossed. Her acquaintance with Tyler is not that deep, but her intuition as a woman makes her trust him.
As they enter the curve after a straight line, Hannah, who initially thought of ending the race quickly, is stunned to see the Audi, which was supposed to be far behind, now closely trailing her, just a car's length away.
How is this possible!
Hannah now drives seriously, unable to fathom how the Audi caught up. Did it also undergo modifications? Otherwise, how could it have caught up so quickly?
In an upcoming curve, something even more unbelievable happens: the Audi, previously trailing, drifts past the Ferrari, taking the lead.
Hannah is shocked. Her Ferrari soon catches up after the curve, leveling with the Audi.
But Tyler rolls down his window, humming, “Can I drive you home? It might rain outside!”
“Get lost!”
Hannah, annoyed by his teasing, speeds up, leaving the Audi behind again.
Tyler would love to catch up, but the Audi, a business car, stands no chance against the modified Ferrari in terms of performance.
The road ahead leads to a highway interchange, a fairly long stretch. With the current speed, it should take about ten minutes. The traffic is dense, and Hannah, still furious, has to brake often.
However, this allows the Audi to overtake her. The Audi, like a fish in water amidst the traffic, skillfully weaves through, always finding gaps to pass her, infuriating Hannah even more.
Ahead, where the road changes to a highway, the Audi creates a significant lead. As Hannah tries desperately to close the gap, she’s obstructed by passing cars, unable to accelerate.
Tyler, on the other hand, smoothly turns the Audi onto another road.
Back where Grace is waiting, more than ten minutes have passed, and the onlookers continue to doubt her. But she remains undisturbed, confident in her decision.
As the appointed time approaches, a black Audi emerges, to the astonishment of the onlookers. The Audi casually pulls up in front of them.
“No way, the Audi won?”
“Hannah’s Ferrari is a modified super system. Impossible!”
“Let's ask Hannah.”
The crowd buzzes with excitement, ignoring the champion Tyler and rushing to Hannah instead. Tyler, getting out of the car, somewhat bemused, waves dismissively,“Can we go now? This was pointless.”
Grace walks over, her pride unmistakable. She seems to have anticipated Hannah's loss. The road here, near the new development area, leads to the city ring road, crowded with traffic. The Ferrari’s performance is irrelevant without space to utilize it.
Tyler's skillful driving exploited every opportunity.
“Hannah, did something happen on the road? How could he have gotten ahead of you?”
The crowd is abuzz with questions.
“Enough!” Hannah suddenly raises her voice, turning her attention to Tyler. Though reluctant to admit it, she lost. If the Audi had been modified, her loss would be understandable. But the Audi’s performance showed no signs of modification.
It was purely Tyler's exceptional driving skills that won the race. This realization frustrates Hannah, who had rashly declared she would be his girlfriend if she lost.
With clenched fists, Hannah remains speechless.
Meanwhile, Tyler, uninterested in the commotion, invites Grace into the Audi and drives away, leaving the stunned crowd behind.
“Had enough fun for today? I’ll take you home,” Tyler says to Grace, who is gleefully gloating as if she won the race herself.
“Did you see Hannah’s face? She looked like someone owed her millions. Hah, I love seeing her lose. She thought she could compete with me for a man?”
Tyler remains silent, avoiding any potential provocative comments.
But Grace suddenly says, “You know, you can’t go behind my back with Hannah!”
“we need to clear something up. I’m not your boyfriend. Who I associate with is none of your business, right?” Tyler states matter-of-factly.
“How can you say that? I am your girlfriend now!” Grace asserts boldly, latching onto the idea.
