** A week later **
"Good morning, Scarlett,"
I turned and was surprised to see Ell; he was holding a tray of coffee as he tried closing the door behind him with his foot.
He dropped the tray on my dressing table and bowed slightly.
"Hey, Ell, how are you doing today?" I asked, smiling brightly as I stood up from the chair I was sitting in opposite the window.
"I am fine, I brought you your favorite coffee." He said, pointing to the mug of coffee on the tray.
I took and began sipping it, the coffee has become one of my favorites, and Ells serves me the coffee almost every day.
"Thanks, Ell."
"You're well. Home, is there anything I can help you out with?" He suddenly asked as I leaned on my dressing table.
My relationship with Ell for the past week grew into friendship; he is such a nice guy.
"Why are you so nice to me?" I asked, and he sighed.
"Because I feel so free with you, you're friendly, nice, and have a soft heart." He complimented me and I smiled.
"Thanks for the compliment, you have nothing to do for me, so you can go. We will see later in the day,"
"Ok, ay Scarlett," he bowed and smiled before turning to leave.
At that instant, I saw a mission.
It was clearer than the last one I had about Ell.
I saw Ell walking alone in the woods, he was covered and soaked with blood from head to toe, and he wouldn't stop crying out loudly. It seems he was helpless and lost in the woods. The mug of coffee suddenly fell out of my hands, its contents spilled on the floor, and the mug shattered into pieces.
I came back to my senses and tried cleaning up the mess I had created., Ell rushed to me immediately.
"You shouldn't do this. I can take care of it. Don't use bare fingers to pick the pieces, you might get a cut." Ell warned rushing to me, but it was too late. I stepped on one of the broken pieces, and it pierced
into my foot.
"Ouch!" I moaned in pain, and that spot began bleeding.
"Oh my God! Let me get the first aid box," he said, and made to rush out, but I pulled him back.
"Don't tell anyone about this, it's just a minor accident. You should clear off the broken mug," I s, said and slowly went to sit.
He got a piece of clothing and tied it around my foot to stop the bleeding.
After that, he immediately cleaned the traces of blood before going to get the cleaning materials so he could clear off the broken pieces of the mug.
I checked my foot and hissed in. The wound was quite deep, and I knew it wasn't going to heal anytime soon because I had a slow healing process.
The mug broke because I was absent-minded, the vision I had of Ell kind of freaked me out.
Ell finished cleaning the mess I created and rushed back to me.
"Are you okay?" He asked to check my foot, and a big question mark formed on his face when he saw that the wound was still fresh.
It was just a small wound, but it was deep.
I guess he was expecting the wound to heal up within minutes.
"Don't be surprised, I have a slow healing process; it will take time before it heals," I said, and he sighed.
"We should treat it then," he suggested.
"Don't worry, I will be fine, you should get going." I urged him ot to get him into trouble.
"Okay, Scarlett, please be fine." I smiled when I saw the worrisome look on his face.
"Sure, it's just a minor accident, I would be fine," I assured him, and he exhaled before leaving.
I suddenly pulled him back, remembering the vision I had about him.
"Is there anything you want me to do for you?" He asked and I kept mute.
I can't tell him the vision I had about it, he wouldn't believe m,e or he might not take it seriously. He might get confused or look at me as onIho had gone crazy.
"Uhm.. nothing! I just wanted to tell you to be careful,"
That's the only thing I could tell him, "Careful? I had always been,"
"Be extra careful,"
He looked at me weirdly before nodding his head slowly. I knew he was beginning to get confused.
"Hey Scarlett! Good morning,"
Jamie suddenly rushed into my room, and I hid my hurt foot immediately.
"What's happening here?" She asked when she saw Ell standing so close to me.
"Nothing! He helped me with something that has already been taken care of. You can go," I dismissed l l, and he bowed slightly before leaving.
Jamie looked at him till he went out of sight, "If you needed help, you should have called someone else, not him." She scoffed.
"Why did you say so?" I asked her, trying to prevent her from seeing my hurt leg.
She would just start being dramatic about it, "I don't like him, I find him weird, his smile is weird. Too, I find him so strange; he is so creepy." Jamie whispered, and I was astonished by what she said.
"Me too, I feel like he isn't for real." My wolf said to me, and I chuckled.
Ell is the opposite of what Jamie portrayed him as, there's nothing creepy, we, or strange about him, except for the vision I had about him, all disturbing.
I don't know what it means. I hope nothing bad happens to him.
"But he is cool, didn't you ask him to bring coffee to me every night?" I asked, and she was taken aback by my question.
"Me? I didn't send him; it was someone else, maybe he volunteered to do that himself. Let's stop talking about him, hope you slept well?" Jamie asked, taking a seat beside me on the bed.
"Yes, I did, what of Alpha Axel?" I asked.
"I don't know about him; he will probably be busy with his pack duties," Jamie replied, and I frowned.
For the past week, I have rarely seen or even talked to him. Is he that busy to the extent of not even checking up on his mate?
Jamie and I got very close within the past week; she never allowed me to feel bored at all.
She is doing a good job of making my stay a wonderful one.
"Don't worry, dear, he is going to receive an earful from me, he has to out you first, kay?" She promised, and I smiled.
"Hey, ladies," Alpha Axel showed u, and a smile slowly crept to my lips.
I noticed he grew more handsome as the day went by. Am I the only one noticing, or is it my eyes?
"Big brother," Jamie whined, rushing to hug him immediately.
"Little princess, how are you doing?" He asked, caressing her hair, and smiled at them both.
I love their closeness, how I wish I had an elder brother like Alpha Axel who would love and cherish me.
"You know I am mad at you?" She pouted while holding his hands.
"Have you forgotten you now have a mate? Don't you know she would be feeling so lonely? You don't care about how she fares! You're just blinded by the pack's duties!" Jamie suddenly yelled at her
brother.
Gosh! She is just so unpredictable at times,
"You shouldn't worry! I understand, and I am doing very well, at least I have you keeping me company. You shouldn't forget that he is the Alpha !" I said with a fake smile, nd Jamie eyed me.
"Let me leave you both to talk, but I want to see changes from today, Axel, I mean it!" She sat with a friend before leaving the room.
"You should ignore her, Alpha Axe. I am doing very well here, and I am glad you brought me to your pack."
"Are you mad at me?" He suddenly asked, and I shook my head negatively.
"Of course not, you shouldn't worry about me as long as I am getting the protection I need." I lied even though I was slightly mad at myself for ignoring you for weeks.
"I guess you have a lot of things to do today, you should begin your pack duties. I would be fine," I added.
He suddenly approached me and grabbed my leg. He checked my foot, and I moaned.
"I knew it!" He said, taking off the rag.
How did he know that I was wounded?
