Overnight, the news of the "Heart of the Galaxy" appearing in Yeoannes City caused a huge sensation, attracting numerous reporters and jewelry industry insiders to the Destiny Jewelry Store early the next morning.
But upon their arrival, they were dumbfounded.
"Beep beep beep~"
"Beep beep~"
Atius, who was teaching Nidawi how to box, took out his phone and answered with a smile, "Master Colter, what's the matter calling me so early?"
Domingo's voice trembled, "Chairman, the Heart of the Galaxy is gone!"
"Wait, I'll be right there!" Atius's gaze turned icy, a hint of murderous intent flashing in his eyes.
Eilir happened to walk into the yard and saw Atius's grave expression, so she asked with a frown, "If you're busy, I can take Nidawi to the company."
Atius nodded, "It's just a small matter, I'll pick up Nidawi once I'm done."
Eilir didn't say more and carried Nidawi out the door.
An hour later, Atius walked into the Destiny Jewelry Store.
The store had been cleared of all people except for Domingo and the two Heaven Rank members responsible for guarding the Heart of the Galaxy.
Domingo said anxiously, "I personally locked the Heart of the Galaxy in the safe last night. It shouldn't have been possible for it to be stolen."
The two Heaven Rank members also nodded, "We've been guarding the safe the whole time, sure that no one came by."
Atius frowned and then stepped aside to make a phone call.
Soon, a call went through.
The voice on the other end was lazy, obviously still half asleep.
"Hello, who is this?"
"It's Atius Seymour."
"War God!" The person on the other end suddenly became alert, excitedly saying, "War God, have you come to Peytho Kingdom?"
"No," Atius asked directly, "Lavan, does the League of Extreme Thieves have anyone in the Red Dragon Kingdom?"
"Red Dragon Kingdom?" Lavan's voice was full of confusion, "War God, your Red Dragon Kingdom is filled with masters; we thieves wouldn't dare go there."
Atius “hmmed” and recounted the theft of the Heart of the Galaxy.
Lavan was silent for two seconds, then said seriously, "I suspect they must have infiltrated from underground, then used a high-frequency oscillator to steal the Heart of the Galaxy from inside the safe without damaging it."
"That's a common technique among us thieves."
Atius snorted coldly, "Didn't you say your League of Extreme Thieves had no one in the Red Dragon Kingdom?"
Lavan's voice grew more solemn, "It might be a thief who was expelled from our league. War God, I will come to the Red Dragon Kingdom right away. Rest assured, if I don't resolve this for you, I'll stay by your side as a pawn and never leave."
"You wish," Atius said half-jokingly, then hung up the phone.
Returning to the store, Atius said to Domingo, "Others will investigate the Heart of the Galaxy matter. Don't feel guilty."
Then, turning to the two Heaven Rank members, he said sternly, "You've been in Yeoannes City for a few days now. Leave the Red Dragon Kingdom today and return to headquarters."
The two Heaven Rank members' faces fell, "We wanted to attend your wedding with the Lady."
Atius glared at them, "I'll allow you to come back for it."
They nodded and walked out dejectedly.
As they passed Atius, they suddenly kissed Nidawi on the cheek and darted out like escaping.
Nidawi was confused.
Atius was equally speechless.
Just as he was about to leave with Nidawi, Atius's phone received an appraisal report from Kaladin.
It confirmed that Eilir was indeed the biological daughter of Damir from the provincial city.
And Damir's current daughter, Lena, was likely from the bloodline of the Yates family of Yeoannes City, which Atius had extinguished.
After pondering for a moment, Atius decided to wait for the right moment to tell Eilir.
Meanwhile, in the provincial city at the Yates family residence.
Damir was tending to an orchid in the yard when Lena walked in from outside, prompting him to frown, "You just came back from abroad, why don't you spend more time with your grandfather instead of running around all the time?"
Lena sneered, her lip piercing becoming visible as she smirked.
"All you ever cared about was business, never about me. Now, why pretend to care?"
Damir slammed down the flower pot, his face turning ashen with anger, "Look at how you dress! You've always been rebellious, and after years abroad, you've gotten even worse."
Lena's eyes flashed with impatience as she turned and walked out.
Damir gasped, "How could I have a daughter like you!"
Lena's gaze turned cold, "Damir, I'm not even your real daughter, and you've known that for ten years, which is why you sent me abroad."
"Did you really think I knew nothing?"
Damir's eyes shook, "Lena, you..."
Lena scoffed and walked out of the yard, disappearing in a flash.
At the Wimston Grand Hotel.
Lena entered her room and suddenly turned to the bathroom.
A blonde, blue-eyed man came out, laughing lightly, "Lena, long time no see."
"Blake!" Lena's gaze chilled, "What do you want?"
Blake, the Western man, leaned against the wall, his eyes mocking, "I spent years training you, to get you into the League of Extreme Thieves, and you barely learned anything before getting expelled."
"Do you think you can escape my control by fleeing back to the Red Dragon Kingdom?!"
Lena snorted and suddenly produced a gleaming knife, slashing at Blake's throat.
Blake dodged and caught Lena's wrist, tossing her onto the bed with a flick of his wrist.
Lena turned pale, "When did you become a Heaven Rank?!"
Blake's eyes held a hint of arrogance, "If I'm not mistaken, the Heart of the Galaxy is with you, right?"
Lena didn't respond but threw her knife at Blake and leaped towards the window.
Being on the fifth floor was nothing for Lena, a Peak Earth Rank master.
But against Blake, a Heaven Rank expert, she was too slow.
Blake grabbed Lena by the neck and pulled the Heart of the Galaxy from her neck with his other hand.
Blake's eyes gleamed with madness, "Everyone knows the Heart of the Galaxy is the masterpiece of the jeweler Paloma. What they don't know is that Paloma was also a Saint Rank expert!"
"This necklace is infused with all of Paloma's Qi. Not only can it improve the wearer's constitution, but with it, I have the chance to reach Saint Rank!"
Blake laughed maniacally, then his face turned murderous as he looked at Lena, "If I had known the Heart of the Galaxy would appear in the Red Dragon Kingdom, I wouldn't have bothered training you. Now, you can die!"
As he was about to snap Lena's neck, she stomped her foot, and a cloud of blue smoke erupted from her boot.
A hissing sound filled the air.
Blake retreated swiftly.
Lena seized the chance to dash toward the window and jump down.
By the time the smoke cleared, the room was in shambles, even the walls were corroded.
Blake left the hotel with a grim face and the Heart of the Galaxy.
Back in Yeoannes City at the Jernigan family home.
Gillespie and others had driven over a hundred kilometers to an eco-farm to buy fresh produce.
Just as they reached their doorstep, they found forty or fifty young people standing on the lawn.
Gillespie frowned, wondering if these youngsters were troublemakers.
Calandra and Eilir arrived from work and were also anxious at the sight.
Seeing Eilir, the young people rushed over.
Gillespie and the others quickly stepped in front of Eilir.
"Get lost if you don't want to die!"
"Don't misunderstand," one of the young men said with a smile, "we're here to visit our sister-in-law."
So, when Atius returned with Nidawi, he saw the table filled with peculiar gifts.
Gillespie, placing a dish of greens on the table, smiled at Atius, "Your comrades came by. A group of interesting youngsters, although the gifts for Miss Eilir and Nidawi are a bit odd."
Atius glanced at the table, seeing the Starfall Dagger, Night Pearl, Millennium Ginseng Pill...
These were indeed the treasured items of those companions.
Moved, Atius said to Eilir, "Eilir, these items are precious, take good care of them."
Nereus, puzzled, asked in a low voice, "Lord, who were those young people?"
Atius smiled, "They are all Heaven Rank members of my War God Palace."
Nereus was stunned, then chuckled wryly.
He had thought they were just ordinary members of the War God Palace, but each was a Heaven Rank.
That night, the Safety Bureau found that all members of the War God Palace had withdrawn from the Red Dragon Kingdom.
