Lily Ye's face turned even paler. She said, "Alex, look at her. After all, I'm her elder. She's speaking so rudely to me, making it known that the young miss of the An family lacks manners. I don't know what kind of scheme she's plotting behind my back."

"What scheme could she possibly have? Probably just criticizing your performance as a stepmother. You really don't need to worry about others scheming against you. After all, not many people know that there's still a young miss in the An family. I'm actually thankful that you remember she's your biological daughter, not the An family's young miss," Lily Ye said, becoming angrier as Ava An tried to provoke her.

"You!" Lily Ye clenched her teeth, almost seething with anger.

An Alex had a headache and his tone slightly hardened, "That's enough, stop arguing. Ava An, come with me."

Ava An shrugged indifferently and walked towards the stairs. The bodyguards naturally made way for her. No one dared to block the young miss anymore.

An Alex led the way upstairs, and Ava An followed at her own pace. When she passed by Lily Ye, she paused briefly and said with a low smile, "You better make sure your heart is fine. Today is just the beginning."

Leaving this remark behind, Ava An continued up the stairs.

There was anger in Lily Ye's eyes, and she clenched her fists.

Ava An, you wait. You could go in once five years ago, and five years later, you'll go in for the second time!

On the second floor, there was An Alex's study.

Father and daughter sat, with Ava An clearly not intending to engage in lengthy conversation. She didn't even sit down and spoke directly to the point, "I want Suhuan."

An Alex furrowed his brow. Suhuan was an independent cheongsam brand under the An Group, and it was the cornerstone of the An Group's business. Back then, he and Ava An's mother had started their business with a small cheongsam store. Her mother was responsible for making the cheongsams, while he handled the marketing. Together, they gradually grew Suhuan, which later led to the establishment of the An Group.

When Ava An was ten years old, her mother passed away, and he remarried Lily Ye. Without the main creative force behind Suhuan, the brand gradually declined and now only retained the brand and one store.

"You just came back from the hospital; your body needs rest. Stay at home for now and return to work at the company when you're feeling better," An Alex said, trying to be tactful.

"My health has nothing to do with you. I didn't come here today to discuss with you; I came to negotiate with you," Ava An said with an emotionless expression.

An Alex's brow furrowed again, and then Ava An continued, "I have ten percent of the shares of the An Group in my hands, and I want to exchange this ten percent for the independence of Suhuan. Give you the ten percent of the shares, and from now on, Suhuan will be solely owned by me, Ava An, with no connection to the An Group."

"You want to exchange your shares for Suhuan!" An Alex was shocked.

Ava An nodded and placed the prepared agreement on his desk. "Here is the agreement; I've already had the lawyer draft it. Take a look, and if it's fine, just sign it."

An Alex, seeing that she had come prepared, was even more surprised. "Ava An, do you know the value of ten percent of the An Group's shares? It's more than enough to buy ten Suhuans."

"Heh..." Ava An's expressionless face showed a hint of sarcastic smile. She said coldly, "Is that so? But in my heart, Suhuan is priceless. My mother was willing to sacrifice even her life to keep Suhuan. What am I giving up today with ten percent of the shares? Since in your eyes, Suhuan is just a useless stepping stone, then sell it to me. You've said it yourself; these shares can buy ten Suhuans."

"No, Ava An, that's not what I meant. What I meant was..." An Alex saw that Ava An had misunderstood his intentions and hurriedly tried to explain.

"I don't care what you mean. I just want Suhuan. If you don't want it, I do. I don't care about your shares in the An Group. I just want the one thing my mother left me," Ava An's tone grew more serious, and her eyes reddened slightly.
