Ava An's determination in her eyes regarding Suhuan reminded Alex An of his late wife. Suddenly, he recalled many things, memories surfaced, and he felt a pang of guilt for no apparent reason.
"Alright, Dad will give Suhuan to you. You can keep this share. Consider Suhuan as a gift from Dad, and I remember your birthday is coming soon," perhaps due to the guilt he felt, Alex An generously didn't even want the shares.
"I don't need your charity. Just sign the agreement, and we'll be done. I want Suhuan to be independent from the An Group, not something you give me to play with for a few days and then take back whenever you please," Ava An's expression turned icy again.
"Dad won't do that. I'll give it to you, and I won't take it back," Alex An assured.
Ava An was very impatient with his display of fatherly love and added a thin layer of anger to her tone, saying, "How many times do I have to say it for you to understand? I don't want your charity. Sign it! Let me remind you of one thing, the doctor said my emotions can't handle stress, or I might have another episode. You know, it's not illegal for someone with a mental disorder to kill. Aren't you afraid I'll have another attack and kill Lily Ye? You know, I wish she were dead every day."
Alex An was indeed startled. "Ava, calm down."
"I am calm now, but if you don't sign, I can't guarantee that," Ava An threatened.
Alex An knew Ava An was threatening him, but he had no choice. Pushed to the limit, he opened the agreement and, without even looking at it, turned to the last page and signed his name on both copies.
"I will get it notarized. I hope the An Group will announce publicly that Suhuan has been sold and is no longer a clothing brand under the An Group," Ava An pulled out one of the agreements from the table and left after saying this last sentence.
When Ava An came down from upstairs, Lily Ye was sitting on the sofa. Her posture was very elegant, a typical noblewoman look. When she saw Ava An coming down with a document in her hand, her gaze turned malicious. But when she saw the document, her eyes flickered.
Ava An snorted in her heart and left with large strides. She knew what Lily Ye was thinking – that she had come to ask Alex An for something and had obtained a valuable document from him. That look in her eyes was like a bullet.
Leaving the An family, Ava An took a taxi directly to Song Jiaren's law firm. Song Jiaren took the agreement, had her assistant bring Ava An's valid documents to the notary public office, and on the same day, the legal owner of Suhuan was changed to Ava An's name.
The next day was the weekend, and Alex An didn't go to work. By Monday, he had the An Group announce that Suhuan had been sold and was now an independently owned clothing brand.
