Dagny felt the same way. She had been living alone for quite some time, and suddenly having a neighbor, especially a handsome one, added some color to her life.

Seeing Cabin return, she promptly asked, "Have you had dinner? Look at you, covered in sweat, and there's a basin of water by the door. Go wash up!"

Cabin chuckled, "Dinner? I haven't even had lunch!"

"Well, where did you run off to? It's so late. Let me fry you an egg."

"No need!" Cabin thought I'd rather not waste eggs. I've seen your cooking skills in the morning.

"Let me do it. We won't have eggs tonight. Let's have seafood!" Dagny finally noticed his basket full of seafood, and a strong smell of the sea hit her nose.

"Where did you get so much seafood? I've seen the villagers go foraging, but they don't get such good stuff!"

Cabin smiled, "Everyone has their way of doing things. They settle for small gains, so they can't find the big ones!"

Saying this, he poured oysters, sea cucumbers, and more oysters into a basin of water to wash. He instructed Dagny to clean them, then grabbed a bowl and headed to Loretta Tian's house to get a block of tofu to cook oysters with tofu.

By now, the sky had already darkened, and Loretta's house was lit up. The front door was half open, so Cabin walked right in.

The outer room was the kitchen for making tofu, while Loretta lived in the inner room. Loretta's husband, Damara, worked elsewhere, and he rarely came home throughout the year.

There was only a young woman at home, diligent and never idle. She had learned how to make tofu and set up a tofu workshop in their house. Because she was fair and beautiful, she earned the nickname "Tofu Beauty."

Cabin entered, and there was no one in the tofu workshop, so he went in.

"Loretta, are you home?"

He heard Loretta shout from inside, "Get out!"

Cabin was taken aback. He was just here to collect a block of tofu, and he was going to pay for it. Why was he being cursed at like this?

He peered into the house and couldn't help but be shocked. He saw a burly man pinning Loretta down on the sofa, his head buried in her T-shirt. Loretta couldn't get up, and her legs were flailing in the air.

"You damn Faraday! Get off me! If Damara finds out, he won't spare you!"

"Hehe, if I were afraid of your husband, I wouldn't have come in. They all say you're pretty, let Uncle take a look!"

Faraday Yang, in his forties, used to be the former village chief. He was removed from office for embezzling poverty alleviation funds.

Tonight, he had a few drinks and happened to pass by the tofu shop when he saw Loretta come out to dump wastewater. When Loretta bent over, he peeked into her T-shirt and saw she wasn't wearing a bra. That's when he got some lecherous ideas.

When Loretta returned, he followed her inside. While Loretta was alone at home, she was a respectable woman. Seeing Faraday had drunk too much, she tried to shoo him away. Unexpectedly, he got more aggressive and started to assault her.

Cabin used the basin in his hands to give Faraday's rear end a good thump.

"Uncle Faraday, you're shameless. Does your wife Rosalind know?"

Startled by the sudden interruption, Faraday jumped up. "Who?"

He turned around and saw Cabin, and anger welled up in him. "You pauper, get out of here, or I'll knock your teeth out all over the floor!"

Cabin sneered, "I usually keep a low profile. Do you all think I'm a pushover? You can bully me, we're all fellow villagers, and I won't hold grudges. But don't bully the weak in front of me. I may be soft-hearted, but I can't stand by and watch!"

"Damn it, you think I'll go easy on you? I'll beat you to a pulp!" Faraday used to his bullying ways, didn't care much about Cabin, and threw a punch at him. But even though Cabin's Profound Gateway was open, and he was well-versed in various combat techniques thanks to his Special Forces experience, he was no stranger to a fight.

Faraday's punch didn't come close to touching him. Instead, Cabin kicked him in the waist. Faraday was sent flying, crashing into the tofu shop, and even lost a shoe under the bed.

Cabin followed, grabbing Faraday and dunking his head into the tofu residue. He held Faraday's head with one hand, scolding, "I hate people who bully others. I've been sick of you for a long time. Today, I'm going to teach you a lesson!"

Faraday flailed, but he couldn't break free. Even Cabin himself was amazed at how much his reflexes and speed had increased.

Faraday, at 6 feet 2 inches tall and weighing nearly 200 pounds, was a burly man. Cabin was holding him down effortlessly with one hand!

At this moment, Loretta came out after tidying up. She hurriedly pulled Cabin, "Cabin, let it go, don't take it too far! Quick, release him!"

Cabin couldn't take Faraday's life, so he let go. Faraday, with a head full of tofu residue, jumped up and ran out. At the door, he turned around and cursed, "Damn, I'm not finished with you!"

He turned to Loretta and said, "Loretta, are you going to report this guy? I'll testify for you. I guarantee he'll be locked up."

Loretta reached out and grabbed Cabin's arm. "Cabin, I want to ask you a favor."

Cabin looked at the fair and beautiful Tofu Beauty. "What's up?"

"Could you keep today's incident a secret for me? Don't spread it around!"

Cabin looked at her in confusion. "What do you mean? You two weren't consensual, were you?"

"Nonsense! I'm just afraid this will get out. Words have a way of crushing people. If Damara hears about it when he comes back, who can explain it clearly?"

Cabin nodded. "You're right, rumors can be terrifying. Faraday probably drank too much today. I don't think he'd dare do this normally. Let's just let him off easy this time."

Saying this, he picked up the tofu, paid for it, and started to leave. He turned back to look at Loretta, who was wearing a loose tank top that barely covered her behind, revealing her pristine legs below.

"You stop right there! You can't just blurt things out!"

Loretta said, then lifted her tank top, revealing a pair of denim shorts underneath.

"Take a good look. Who said I wasn't wearing anything on my legs? Don't talk nonsense, I have to show you to shut you up!"

Cabin chuckled. "Loretta, you're trying to shut me up with your shorts?"

"Regardless, you can't let this incident leak out!"

Cabin understood Loretta's concerns. A woman alone at home was naturally afraid of causing trouble. If news of this got out, it could lead to all sorts of misunderstandings. If Damara didn't believe her, it could even lead to a divorce.

Cabin returned with the tofu, only to find Dagny with blood on her fingers, busy wrapping them with a bandage.

Cabin, alarmed, asked, "Dagny, have you encountered a thug too?"
