chapter 8 Open hotel sales

As soon as Cabin reached out, the woman cried out, "Ouch! Don't touch me!"

Cabin glanced up at her and said, "You're exposing yourself!"

The beauty quickly covered her chest. Taking advantage of the situation, Cabin pulled on her ankle. With a shout, she jumped up.

She was about to curse, but she felt that her ankle no longer hurt. She couldn't help but take a closer look at Cabin.

Hmm, this young man is not bad-looking!

But the way he's dressed... he's probably a country bumpkin.

In the beauty's eyes, Cabin could detect a hint of coquettishness. There was also a touch of flirtatiousness in her gaze, a kind known as "peach blossom eyes." Women with this look usually had loose morals.

Compared to the pure-hearted village official Dagny, Cabin preferred dealing with women like her.

"Young man, thank you!" The beauty opened her alligator-skin bag, pulled out a stack of cash without even counting, and handed it over. It looked like it was at least a thousand bucks.

But the condescending attitude of the beauty made it feel like she was giving a tip to a shoe polisher. It irked Cabin.

"No need, I helped you not for this!" Cabin glanced at the crowd, then walked away.

The beauty watched his retreating figure, a smirk on her lips. "Kid, you've got personality! I like it!"

Cabin picked up his fish basket and continued to search for his target.

After walking two streets, he finally found what he was looking for.

A towering building came into view. This building had countless floors; a sign alone occupied at least ten floors.

"Emgrand Hotel."

What a grand name. From time immemorial, who wouldn't want to live like an emperor in their lifetime? This hotel must be top-notch.

So Cabin walked right in.

The welcoming hostess was over 1.75 meters tall, wearing high heels that made her even taller than Cabin, who was 1.82 meters.

"Good day, sir. May I ask if you are..."

Though her face wore a professional smile, she couldn't help but frown. Why did this person smell like oysters?

She originally wanted to ask if he was here to dine, but the words never left her lips. She could tell he wasn't.

The old camouflage pants and faded shirt don't reveal much color. With a pair of flip-flops on his feet, this outfit wouldn't get more than a bowl of noodles at the snack bar.

The hostess inquired, "Who are you looking for?"

Cabin set down the fish basket he was carrying. "I'm here to deliver seafood."

"Seafood? You'll have to go to the kitchen then!"

"Oh, where is the kitchen?"

"It's in the back."

"Thank you, I'll head to the back then!"

"Hold on!"

The receptionist, a beautiful lady, was getting anxious.

"You can't go through the front hall, go around from the back."

"Go around? I won't find my way. Why don't you let me pass through here? Why make me take a detour when there's a straight path?"

Cabin pondered.

"Sorry, with your distinguished appearance, if I let you pass through the lobby, wouldn't it affect the hotel's image? People might think that everyone in the kitchen smells like oysters just like you!"

Cabin admitted he wasn't particularly polished, but it wasn't to the extent of affecting the hotel's business.

Since the young lady at the entrance wouldn't allow him through, he decided to let it be.

Just as he was about to leave, the revolving door suddenly started turning and knocked over the fish basket on the ground. A few large blue crabs, their legs tied together, scuttled out and scattered everywhere.

The hostess exclaimed in frustration, "Oh my, you bumpkin! Hurry and pick up your things!"

At that moment, someone entered from outside. Without even looking up from where he was crouched, Cabin recognized the person by her shoes. Wasn't this the beauty who had sprained her foot earlier?

He lifted his head and sure enough, it was her. He not only saw her face but even caught a glimpse of the hem of her skirt.

The lady in the blue dress also recognized Cabin. "It's you? What are you doing here?"

The hostess hurried over to report, "Manager Luan, this person is running amok and spilled the seafood on the floor."

Hearing her being addressed as Manager Luan, Cabin quickly stood up and explained that he was there to deliver seafood. He mentioned that he was prevented from using the front entrance, and as he was leaving, the door knocked over the basket.

Upon hearing this, the beauty couldn't help but furrow her brows and look towards the receptionist.

"What are you still standing around for? Hurry up and help catch the crabs!"

"Ah? Oh, okay!"

The receptionist was a bit bewildered. She hadn't expected the general manager to be so lenient towards this country bumpkin. Instead of getting mad at him, she was asking for help in catching crabs.

She didn't dare to refuse and quickly crouched down to assist. Her posture, bent over and chasing after crabs, was comical, to say the least.

This beauty, Priscilla Luan, was the hotel's general manager. At twenty-eight, she had climbed from a department supervisor to the position of general manager, a testament to her strong capabilities.

Having been in the food and beverage industry for many years, she naturally had a discerning eye for seafood products.

As she looked at the large wild oysters and blue crabs that Cabin brought, it was clear they were of exceptional quality, definitely not the farmed kind.

The taste of wild seafood was incomparable to farmed ones.

She asked Cabin directly, "How much do you want for these two items per pound?"

The service girls who had come over to help with the crabs found this situation quite strange.

Priscilla had made it clear before that they didn't accept random shipments; the hotel had dedicated seafood suppliers. So, for this young man to bring in just a basket of oysters and a few crabs, and now the manager was inquiring about the price, was this not breaking the rules?

Cabin responded, "These are all wild-caught, and I'm not asking for much. Fifteen dollars for the oysters, and if you can give me fifty dollars per pound for the blue crabs, that'd be fair."

Priscilla couldn't help but chuckle. "The price isn't high, but we don't usually take individual shipments like this."

Cabin knew this woman had an eye for quality. He could tell by the expression on her face. She recognized the merits of his seafood.

So, Cabin added, "I just brought a little to show. If there's demand, I can provide more!"
