The Finance Director and cashier Chloe were instantly drenched in cold sweat.

Director Lu had a family and a business, and his wife was a real tiger.

Chloe also had a boyfriend. Once their affair was exposed, the consequences would be unimaginable.

Director Lu quickly put on a smiling face. "Brother, why cause such a scene? We have no grudges, why bother?"

Chloe wasn't as arrogant as before. She smiled and poured water for Cabin. "Big brother, have a seat. You're here to settle the bill, right? What bill? Do you have an invoice?"

Cabin took a seat on the sofa, tossing the invoice onto the table.

"Here, it's over a thousand bucks."

Director Lu glanced at it, quickly signed, and then pressed the accounting seal with a "click."

He told Chloe, "Chloe, hurry, get the money for him."

Chloe swiftly opened the safe, counted out fourteen hundred dollars, and handed it over respectfully.

Cabin took it without counting and stuffed it into his pocket, ready to leave.

Director Lu, with his bulky frame, quickly blocked the doorway, his eyes narrowed in a smiling squint.

"Brother, take a look. Can you delete your video?"

Cabin took out his phone to show him. "I didn't record anything. My phone is dead, I can't even turn it on."

After seeing it, Director Lu was so enraged he wanted to throw the phone.

Cabin retrieved his phone, pushed past him, and left.

He held over a thousand dollars in his hand, thinking that once he earned more, he could buy a better smartphone. It would come in handy if he wanted to do business in the future.

Passing by a traditional Chinese medicine store, Cabin remembered that his "Miracle Cure" had been activated, allowing him to practice medicine and save lives. One of the powerful techniques involved was the Acupuncture Technique, often referred to as a gem of Chinese medicine.

He already had a thorough understanding of human acupoints, but he was lacking a set of silver needles.

He looked up at the sign of this shop, which was named "ShiZhen Medicinal Hall." It was the most renowned herbal medicine store in Yuansong City. They should have what he needed.

Entering, he found a bright and spacious hall with rows of neatly arranged counters. The sales attendants all dressed similarly to nurses in a hospital, wearing pink lab coats that reached mid-thigh, and white shoes, giving them a neat appearance.

Cabin approached the counter selling medical instruments and chose a set of thirty-six needles of varying lengths. They were packed in a plastic tube, making them easy to carry.

At this moment, he heard someone speaking nearby.

"Traditional Chinese medicine is mostly just bluffing! To treat illnesses, it's Western medicine that you need. Do you think I've spent these years abroad for nothing? I came back to prove that Western medicine is much stronger than traditional Chinese medicine!"

One sentence triggered Cabin.

He turned around, wanting to see who was making such bold claims.

He saw a man dressed in a suit, well-groomed with slicked-back hair, talking to a woman in her early thirties. The woman was dressed in a traditional costume, her hair elegantly tied up, revealing a fair and slender neck. She spoke gently and carried a classical beauty about her.

Judging by her expression, she seemed somewhat worried.

When she heard the young man's words, she didn't look pleased either.

"Beau, you shouldn't say that. Young people should be modest. I've already found a skilled traditional Chinese medicine practitioner to treat Lacey. You don't need to worry," Eleanor Chen interjected.

However, the young man known as Beau Huan remained arrogantly dismissive. "Auntie Eleanor, you're saying you don't trust me. Lacey has been sick for so long, have you ever considered traditional Chinese medicine? Is it effective? Think about it, is traditional Chinese medicine's pulse diagnosis and inquiry really useful, or is it Western medicine's advanced medical equipment? We Chinese have been deceived by traditional Chinese medicine for so many years, how can we still be so infatuated?"

Eleanor Chen felt annoyed by Beau's demeanor. She knew he wanted to have Lacey treated, but he had ulterior motives.

Yet, she didn't want to openly offend him, so she said, "This time it's different with the traditional Chinese medicine. We've invited the renowned healer, Xavier! Dare you say your medical skills are better than his? When he gained fame, you were still in diapers!"

Upon hearing Xavier's name, Beau also felt somewhat disheartened. In terms of reputation and seniority, he certainly couldn't compare to a well-established traditional Chinese medicine expert.

Still, he couldn't help but grumble, "You all believe in traditional Chinese medicine, but my teachers abroad have said, as far as traditional Chinese medicine and herbs go, it's alright for health maintenance. But when it comes to treatment, it's at least a hundred years behind Western medicine."

At this point, Cabin couldn't stand it anymore. He looked at this young man who seemed to admire foreign things excessively and couldn't help but mutter a word under his breath, "Damn!"

Beau heard it and looked up, seeing a rugged countryman staring at him.

"Who were you just swearing at?"

Beau couldn't quite believe that this rough-looking guy had just cursed at him.

Cabin stared coldly at Beau. He asked, "Are you Chinese or foreign?"

"Why do you care who I am? And who are you?" Beau retorted.

"I'm Chinese. I won't claim that our traditional Chinese medicine is omnipotent or vastly superior to Western medicine. But it's the result of our ancestors' hard work and wisdom. I will never refute or doubt it. If you can't use traditional Chinese medicine for treatment, it only shows you haven't mastered the art. Many foreign experts acknowledge the greatness of traditional Chinese medicine. You, on the other hand, a fake foreigner who's spent a few years abroad, want to discredit your ancestors. You're even inferior to foreigners! It just goes to show that you, with your arrogance and disdain for everything, are a brainless fool. You'd be better off changing your nationality. But if you have no real ability, I doubt even a foreign country would want you!"

These words received applause from the customers buying medicine nearby. They all felt a sense of satisfaction. When Beau was spouting off earlier, everyone had heard. While they were annoyed, it didn't concern them directly, so nobody said anything. Now, witnessing Cabin put Beau in his place, everyone felt thoroughly vindicated.

Beau fumed, "You stinking kid, country bumpkin, what right do you have to talk to me like that? I swear, I'll knock your teeth out and scatter them all over the floor!"

Saying this, he brandished his arm like a club.
