Moments later, Tony Liu and his companions briskly approached, stepping into the midst of the girls. Leading them was a mature and fashionable girl wearing a t-shirt and low-rise jeans, her makeup accentuating her mature and sophisticated appearance.
Tony Liu's chubby face beamed with a smile, "Iris, you're here!"
"Sorry for keeping you waiting for so long...!" Iris Zhang instinctively apologized, her expression solemn as she noticed Tony Liu's attire. "Tony Liu, are you here for a date with me or just for amusement?"
Women had their vanities, and Iris Zhang's vanity was solid. She brought her roommates along for this date with Tony Liu to play matchmaker for her dormitory sister and introduce Tony Liu, whom she had been pursuing for a while, to her friends. Little did she expect him to dress so comically.
Wasn't this embarrassing her in front of her dormitory friends?
And asking her to speak well of him in front of her friends… Was this how he repaid her?
The girls behind her had intended to give Iris Zhang some respect and suppress their laughter, but after Iris Zhang's remark, they couldn't hold it in and burst into laughter.

Tony Liu and his friends were utterly bewildered. Did they plan something like this? How come they don't know?
Quintin Fang sighed, "Hey, he dressed like this on purpose, to be funny and make Iris Zhang laugh. Turns out, his acting wasn't up to par, and he messed it up!"
"Really?" Iris Zhang was slightly moved.
Quintin Fang spread his hands, "Of course, who, in their right mind, would dress up like a clown for a date?"
During a date, men and women would present their best side to the other person. Who would reveal their flaws?
Especially with the lady's friend present.
After some thought, Iris Zhang looked at Tony Liu again, her expression softening. She stepped forward to adjust Tony Liu's shirt and said softly, "The shirt is too tight. Next time, I'll go shopping with you and get a proper one!"
"Okay, okay..." Tony Liu's brain was a bit sluggish, and he responded subconsciously.
The amusement disappeared from the girls' faces, replaced by envy as they looked at Iris Zhang. Iris found a guyself just to make her smile.

Were they showing affection? Single guy?
Although these terms were not widespread in this era, everyone could understand them. After a moment of surprise, they all burst into laughter.
"Quintin, where did you learn these playful words?" Tony Liu was in high spirits now and, with a flourish, grabbed Iris Zhang's hand, scolding playfully before introducing his roommates, "Iris, let me introduce you. These are my roommates, and we’re as close as blood brother! The eldest is Vince Sun, second Quintin Fang, fourth Warren Zhan, fifth Bill Wang, sixth Colin Wu, and seventh Doniel Li!"

Iris Zhang smiled and nodded, introducing the girls behind her.
But Quintin Fang's attention was still on Skylar Qin. He barely remembered the names of the other girls.
After chatting, they headed to a restaurant outside the campus.
On the way, Quintin Fang was lively and animated, but he noticed Skylar Qin lagging, silent, appearing preoccupied. He deliberately fell back to walk with her.
After a few steps, Quintin Fang asked with concern, "What's wrong, Skylar Qin? Do you have something on your mind?"
Skylar Qin looked up at Quintin Fang and shook her head.
"Skylar Qin, try to take things lightly," Quintin Fang raised an eyebrow and said with a smile. "That's life. Problems pile up, and all we can do is face them and solve them!"
"Mm, thank you," Skylar Qin glanced at Quintin Fang again, whispering.
Quintin Fang was pleased that Skylar Qin engaged in a conversation with him and was about to use this momentum to strengthen their relationship.
But he realized that they had already arrived at the restaurant.
Quintin Fang changed the subject, chuckling, "We're here. Let's go in!"
Saying that he and Skylar Qin followed Tony Liu and the others, entering a private room in the restaurant.
Since Tony Liu and his friends knew that Quintin Fang was interested in Skylar Qin, they deliberately made Quintin Fang sit next to her when they were seated.

Vince Sun and the others were quite shy, glancing at the menu and declining the responsibility of ordering.
Quintin Fang was too lazy to go back and forth on this, glanced at Skylar Qin, who hadn't ordered anything, and said, "Let's have steamed bass, hot and sour shredded potatoes, sweet and sour pork, Kung Pao chicken..."
"Hey, Quintin Fang, these dishes you ordered, aren't they all Skylar's favorites?" Iris Zhang suddenly interjected.
The girls were stunned. Yeah! Steamed bass, sweet and sour pork, etc., were all dishes that Skylar loved. She rarely ate them on her own.
Even I only occasionally ordered them when going out for a meal. How did Quintin Fang know?

The speed of serving dishes in the restaurant was relatively fast.
One dish after another was served in no time, and Tony Liu ordered another beer, urging everyone to start eating.
If earlier, due to the first meeting, Iris Zhang's roommates and Quintin Fang's roommates were quite shy and reserved, now, with a few glasses of beer, they let loose and engaged in lively conversation.

At this moment, Quintin Fang stepped forward and said hurriedly, "Wait a moment. It's late. Let me accompany you back to school!"
"Okay, that's settled!" Tony Liu chipped in, instructing Quintin Fang to ensure Skylar Qin's safety, and then called on Iris Zhang and the others to leave.
Watching Tony Liu and the others go, Quintin Fang looked at Skylar Qin by his side, a slight wave of emotion stirring in his heart. He tried to maintain a calm tone and said, "Skylar Qin, let's go!"
"Okay!" Skylar Qin hesitated for a moment but eventually nodded. She tucked a strand of her hair behind her ear and headed in the direction of the school.
Quintin Fang quickened his pace to catch up.
