Golden Jade Restaurant
Renowned in Dong Hai City for its exquisite cuisine, featuring the city's top chefs.
Dining there was not only expensive but also required advanced reservations.
Before heading out, Orion Jiang had asked Agatha Lin to make a reservation.
He pushed Jasper Lin out of the elevator, followed by Agatha Lin and Cara Su.
For Cara Su, it was her first time entering such a high-end establishment, and she felt a bit nervous.
"Agatha Lin, isn't this too expensive?" Cara Su whispered.
"We can't spend Orion Jiang's money carelessly.
This is a favor we can't repay."
Agatha Lin was aware that a meal at the Golden Jade Restaurant would cost several thousand yuan, and some of her colleagues who had dined there had bragged about it for more than a month.
"Orion Jiang insisted on treating you to dinner, and I couldn't stop him." Agatha Lin replied.
She hesitated for a moment before adding,
"Don't worry, I'll give him our share of the money when we get back."
Cara Su felt reassured after hearing this.
Orion Jiang led Jasper Lin to approach a waiter, who immediately stepped forward.
"Sorry, sir, our restaurant is already full. If you'd like to dine with us, please wait over there."
"Full?" Orion Jiang glanced around, then turned to Agatha Lin.
"Didn't you make a reservation?"
Agatha Lin stepped forward, showing her reservation information on her phone.
"Yes, we made a reservation. You can check the record at the front desk. We were scheduled for six o'clock, and it's only five forty-six now."
"Sorry, we had guests who arrived earlier, so we let them in first. Your reservation information may not have been updated in time." the waiter explained calmly.
"Please wait here, or you can come back tomorrow."
"Why is that? We made the reservation first, didn't we?" Orion Jiang questioned.
Agatha Lin felt helpless with the situation.
She couldn't believe that having a simple meal could become such a hassle.
It seemed that this restaurant didn't rely solely on its good food but also on its capriciousness.
Cara Su took a quick look around and suggested, "How about we eat somewhere else?
This place looks too expensive. Just by looking at the clothes of the people dining here, you can tell it's pricey."
Orion Jiang, however, was determined. "Mom, today is the first time I'm inviting you to dinner. We're not going anywhere. That's final."
No one had ever dared to take his seat like this before. Whenever Orion Jiang went out to eat, restaurant owners treated him politely. But now, even with a reservation, they were denied a seat.
Orion Jiang turned to the waiter and asked, "Who's your boss?"
The waiter raised an eyebrow. Was this person trying to use connections?
He replied with a hint of sarcasm, "Our boss is Hudson Huang, Mr. Huang of Dong Hai City. Have you heard of him?"
When most people heard the name Hudson Huang, they knew better than to cause trouble and would back down immediately.
The waiter had encountered many people like this before who pretended to have connections.
Orion Jiang didn't say a word, instead taking out his phone and dialling Hudson Huang's number.
Meanwhile, Hudson Huang was enjoying a hot spring on the top floor with a young model.
His phone rang, displaying an unknown number. He quickly answered the call.
"Hello?"
"Little Huang, can you check if there's a table available for dinner at your restaurant?"
Orion Jiang's voice came through the phone.
Hudson Huang's excitement was palpable.
He immediately stood up, splashing water everywhere, and the young model in his arms looked frightened.
"Yes, yes! Brother, are you at Jinyu Restaurant? I'll be right there!"
Ignoring his wet hair, Hudson Huang hastily dried himself, got dressed, and rushed down from the top floor using the exclusive elevator.
At that moment, back at the service desk of the Golden Jade Restaurant, the waiter looked at Orion Jiang as if he were a fool.
"Little Huang? Are you kidding me?
No one in the entire Donghai dares to call Hudson Huang 'Little Huang.'
You must be out of your mind to pretend to be someone you're not in Mr. Huang's territory.
I'll give you one minute to leave immediately, or else, don't blame me for being rude!"
Orion Jiang paid no attention to the waiter's words.
He had no intention of arguing with someone who looked down on others.
The waiter, growing increasingly frustrated, warned, "Didn't you hear what I said?"
He took out his walkie-talkie and called for help.
"Beau, someone is causing trouble at Jinyu Restaurant! Come up here!"
Hearing this, Jasper Lin and Cara Su grew anxious. They sensed that this restaurant wasn't to be trifled with.
"Agatha Lin, let's leave quickly. They don't seem like easy people to deal with."
"Yeah, let's go home and eat. I'll cook for you."
Years of insults and bullying had made them timid, fearing they might offend others.
However, Agatha Lin remained unmoved.
She knew that Orion Jiang really knew Hudson Huang and even shared steamed buns with him.
They had lived together in a bridge cave and were both members of the Beggar Clan.
Footsteps echoed as a dozen burly men rushed up, led by Beau, whom the waiter had mentioned.
"Who dares to create trouble here? You must want to die!" Beau exclaimed.
"It's them, Beau!"
The waiter pointed at Orion Jiang.
"I told them there were no seats, but they still wanted to force their way in. This guy even called our boss 'Little Huang'!"
Beau's expression froze upon hearing this, and he immediately turned cold. Little Huang?
This guy dared to call Hudson Huang "Little Huang"?
That was audacious!
Beau rolled up his sleeves, and his comrades surrounded Orion Jiang and his group.
"Kid, do you want to leave willingly, or should we throw you out of here?" Beau taunted.
Orion Jiang turned to Beau, his eyes squinting slightly.
"Are you sure you want to be disrespectful to me?"
Beau laughed loudly, "Who do you think you are? I can squash you like an ant. Disrespect you? Don't make me laugh!"
"Enough talk. Since you won't leave, don't blame me for being ruthless."
Just as Beau was about to take action, the elevator door opened, and Hudson Huang rushed out, with water droplets still in his hair.
"Stop!" He shouted loudly, leaving Beau stunned.
The waiter was equally surprised. The boss had arrived!
"Stop! What the hell is going on?" Hudson Huang stepped forward and slapped Beau. "Are you blind? Didn't you realize he's my older brother? How dare you lay a hand on him?"
After apologizing to Orion Jiang, Hudson Huang turned to the dumbfounded Beau.
"Brother, I'm sorry for my subordinates' behavior. They didn't teach him well," Hudson Huang said, taking a deep breath.
Beau, still stunned, covered his face where Hudson Huang had slapped him.
The waiter, equally shocked, felt his legs shaking as he almost stumbled.
Hudson Huang had just referred to Orion Jiang as "brother" and even called himself "Little Huang." The whole situation was bewildering.
Cara Su and Jasper Lin were also taken aback, wearing expressions of disbelief.
Elder brother? When had Orion Jiang become Hudson Huang's elder brother?
Hudson Huang, his voice stern, ordered, "Why are you standing there in a daze? Apologize to my brother immediately!"
Beau and the waiter hurriedly nodded and bowed to apologize.
"We're sorry! We're sorry!" Their voices trembled.
"Little Huang, in business, one must adhere to established rules. If you set rules, can your subordinates change them at will?"
Orion Jiang questioned Hudson Huang with a calm tone that still made Hudson Huang nervous.
"Is this what you taught me, or did that guy Finn fail to teach you well?" Orion Jiang continued.
Hudson Huang's heart skipped a beat, and he quickly responded.
"It's my fault! It's my fault that I didn't manage properly. My elder brother is right to criticize me. I'll rectify the situation immediately. I'll do it right away!"
Hudson Huang instructed the waiter, "You can leave. You violated the restaurant's rules."
Then he turned to Beau, and Beau's face turned ashen.
