Chapter 8

*Lilith’s POV*

I lean into Kosta and chuckle

“Well, that isn't going to happen.”

He kisses my forehead then groans

“Why”

“Because I had a baby a couple of days ago and because I can't do anything like that for at least six weeks!” I say as I kiss him

He hooks his arms around my neck and rests them on my shoulder

And looks down at me

“Well, that makes sense. How about I clean up, and you have a shower?”

I step back and look him up and down and see he has woken the beast. I lot out a giggle

“How about you fix that problem in your pants, then tidy up while I have a shower.”

He looks down at himself and adjusts his trousers, and laughs

“Go shower Nic; I will have this place looking spic and span before you get out.”

I walk out of the room and go to the bathroom and turn on the shower

Then I go and get the things I will need and a change of clothes from the bedroom

When I step under the warm spray of the shower, I groan. It feels like heaven, so I enjoy the warmth and then decided I should wash myself down

When I get out of the shower, I wipe down the mirror and look at myself. I smile when I see how refreshed I look, and then I take in my stomach

My skin is all stretched and still puffy from being pregnant. I frown. Kosta hadn't seen me naked since that night when I had a perfectly flat stomach. Now I look chubby, and I can't see my lady bits. How will Kosta React when he sees me?

I quickly get dressed and then brush my hair and come out of the bathroom and go to Kosta. I see the dishes have been cleaned, and everything is back in its place

I go to the living room, and I see Kosta holding Mila and feeding her a bottle

He looks up at me and smiles

“Do you feel better, Nic?”

I frown

“Yes and no.”

He tilts his head to the side

“What's wrong, Nick?”

“Nothing, I saw myself naked, and well, I don't look the same as I did, Kosta!”

He chuckles and shrugs his shoulders, then looks down at Mila

“I don't care, Nic. You grew and nurtured our Daughter in your stomach, so naturally, it is going to change.”

I sit next to him and rest my head on his shoulder, and I look down at Mila

“I suppose you have a point, Kosta, but I don't look the same, and if I'm being honest, I don't like the changes!”

Host a moves so he can see me

“Well, I think you are fucking sexy, Nic, so stop thinking about it. You had a baby a few days ago, so you are hard on yourself. I love you, Lilith, and that is all that matters.”

I look at him and smile

“You Love me?”

He lifts my chin after I look back down

“Yes, Nick, I love you. I never stopped loving you.”

He leans in and kisses me, then moves back and begins to burp Mila

“We should go to sleep, Nic. We are moving my things in here tomorrow. “

I stand up, and Kosta follows me to Mila’s room and watches as I get a change of clothes for her and a clean nappy

Kosta changed Mila and then bundled her up in a blanket and put her to bed

He then turns around and picks me up bridal style and carries me to my room and lays me down on the bed then hovers over me

“I will show you how sexy you are, Nic, and as soon as we hit the six weeks and the doctor says you can do things again, I will show you how much I love you and this body.”

He runs his hand down my side and stops above my apex the leans down, and kisses me

I respond and let lit a yelp when he pulls away and smirks

“Six weeks Nic”

I move up to the pillows and get under the blankets and watch Kosta get undressed, leaving only his jocks on, and he gets into the bad and pulls me close to him and kisses my temple

I drift off to sleep almost immediately

*Kosta’s POV*

I hold on to Nic and think about what she said and smile

She might not like how she looks, but I think she is sexy, knowing her body fed and grew our daughter for nine months of something else

I will help her love her body again. I know all women go through this, and being a younger mum, I know it is harder for Nic to come to terms with

I smile and close my eyes. Finally, my dreams have come true Lilith is in my arms where she belongs.

The following morning I wake up, and Lilith isn't in bed

I stretch and then sit up and get out of bed and get dressed

I walk down to the kitchen and turn the kettle on, then go searching for Lilith

I stop and watch as she sits on the recliner and feeds Mila having a little chat with her

Lilith looks up at me and smiles

“Good morning; sleepy ill make you a coffee soon.”

I shake my head

“Nope, I'm making us coffee and breakfast, Nic. You enjoy the baby time.”

Nic chuckles and leans down and kisses Mila

I go back to the kitchen and make the coffees and get the ingredients out to make breakfast

When I have everything on a tray, I carry it into the living room and not it on the coffee table and give Nic her coffee

“I was thinking Nic; maybe you stay here with Mila while Jovan and Jana help me move. It will be too much on you with Mila.”

She smiles at me

“I was thinking the same thing.”

I move closer to her and kiss her

“Then I will get dinner organised as well, Nic.”

She smiles and nods

“I have some work to do today, so that makes it easy for me.”

I look at her, Work?”

Lilith nods

“Yeah, I haven't stopped working, Kosta, but I have been working from home. That's how you never saw me. I worked from home and planned to do it for a while longer.”

I smile and then sit back in my seat

“No more hiding Nic”

After breakfast, I take the dishes to the kitchen and clean them. I make Lilith another coffee, and then I get dressed and call Jovan, who is meeting me at my house.

I kiss Lilith goodbye

And drive to my house in the city

I see Jovan sitting on the front porch. When he sees me, he smiles

“Hey Kosta, how is Nic?”

I smile

“Nic is doing good, and Mila is perfect.”

He smiles at me and nods

“Do I take it that you gave her a chance?”

I frown

“Why wouldn't I, Jovan? I love her, and I understand why Lilith kept the secret.”

He sighs

“I guess so, but I know if it were Jana, I wouldn't be so forgiving.”

I chuckle

“Well, that is you, Jovan, and you know as well as I do Lilith, isn't Jana.”

Jovan laughs

“That's true, Kosta Lilith is one of a kind, and I am so happy for you.”

I unlock the door and look around my house

I walk to my bedroom and pack my clothes, and then I get the other things I need

I pack my car up, and then we begin to load the trailer with things Lilith’s house needs

I stop in at a jewellery shop, and I pick out an elegant diamond ring and buy it for Lilith

As I'm coming out of the shop, I am shocked to see Jovan talking to my ex-wife

He looks over at me in shock and then walks over to me

“I didn't know she would be here, Kosta.”

I look at her and then back at Jovan

“What did she want?”

He sighs

“She wants to talk to you.”

I turn and walk towards the car park, and Jovan follows me

“What, Kosta, why won't you talk to her?”

I turn and look at him

“Because I don't want to talk to her Jovan, It was a business deal, and now the business is over. I don't want to have anything to do with her.”

He frowns

“Then what's this.”

He holds out a piece of paper that details how I'm moving to Serbia with her.

I take the paper and look at the dates and laugh

“Jovan looks at the dates; they are from the time I got married, and we are not married anymore, so this is no longer valid. She is playing games.”

Jovan looks at the dates then rips the paper in half

“Fuck, she had me going, Kosta.”

I laugh, and I shake my head

“We are divorced, and it's final. I no longer have to deal with her”

Jovan nods

“Thank God because she isn't exactly nice to talk to.”

I chuckle, and we walk to my car

I look at my car and see my father leaning on the side of it

I swear under my breath

“Dad, what do you want?”

My dad frowns

“I want another chance, Kosta. I am sorry about last night.”

I chuckle

“Only last night?”

My dad looks at me and smiles sadly

“I'm sorry for using you as a pawn and for the arranged marriage.”

I look at him, and I can see he is sorry, and I sigh

“Then make her go away.”

My dad looks at me, confused

“Who?”

I hand him the ripped up piece of paper, and he reads it. Then anger comes over him, and I begin to think he isn't sorry after all

My dad looks up at me and nods

“This ends bow I won't have her ruin things you have with Lilith where is she?”

I turn and point at the shopping mall, and then I also suggest at her car parked near my car

My dad comes and hugs me

“Go to Lilith. I want to make sure my daughter in law and granddaughter is safe.”

I pull back and look at my dad, confused

“Why wouldn't we be safe?”

My dad shakes his head

“Her father isn't as nice as he seems, and ylu wanting the divorce has put a target on your back, so go to Lilith and have security placed at the house. I will try to fix this situation. I am sorry, Kosta.”

My dad Russes past me, and I am left confused

I get into my car, and Jovan gets into the passenger seat and looks over at me

“Are you alright, Kosta?”

I look over at him and shake my head

“What on earth has my father gotten me into?”

Jovan looks at me and shrugs

“Drive to Lilith, and I will do some research.”

I start the car, and we begin to drive back to Lilith’s house in the country

When we get into the driveway, Jovan hands me the phone

I gasped and read the article. I find myself wanting to get further away

My ex-wife's first husband died of suspicious circumstances. I keep reading, and then I close the phone and look at Jovan

“We need to get that security here Now.”

I get out of the car and go to Lilith to make sure she is ok I sigh a relief when I see her with Jana drinking coffee

Lilith looks up at me and smiles

“What's wrong, babe? You look like you have seen a ghost!”

I sigh

“Nothing is wrong, Nic. I am happy to see you.”

I go and kiss her and prey; my ex-wife doesn't find where I am because, knowing her intentions, I know we are in danger.
