"Nothing!"
Some things were better left unsaid.
"I just think you didn't choose your makeup properly. I'll select a new set for you later."
Siran caressed Cara's face.
"Nowadays, there is a thing called nude makeup look. It looks natural and smooth after application, and does not look as cakey as your current makeup. I'll teach you how to do that."
"I really don't understand any of this now."
"It's okay. You have me."
Although the best friends had something on their minds, it didn't stop them from chatting away continuously.
After discussing other things, Cara returned the topic to Siran's husband from her flash marriage.
The more Siran avoided this topic, the more Cara felt like something was wrong. "Siran, Musa told me your husband's name is Aaron Shang?"
"Yes."Siran took a sip of coffee.
Cara stirred her drink thoughtfully. "His name sounds quite special, and unlike an average person."
Aaron radiated a unique aura.
But Siran couldn't quite get her mind around it.
"He might have been famous before he went bankrupt. But now that he is poor, Aaron is just an ordinary man."
"Musa told me he is ugly."
"Musa told you that?"
"Yes."
"Ha!" Siran sneered, "Musa must be jealous. He has never seen anyone more good-looking than him, so he must be upset when someone surpassed him in terms of attractiveness."
Cara became deep in thought again.
No wonder Musa looked gloomy when Cara mentioned Aaron to him.
"Musa was a school beau. I wonder how gorgeous is your husband if his attractiveness is able to overtake Musa."
"You will know when you guys meet next time."
"When are you going to arrange for us to meet? I'm afraid that you randomly picked someone to marry, and that you will be unhappy in your marriage."
"What do you mean by randomly? Aaron is the son of Uncle Shang. Uncle Shang and I are friends who had gone through difficulties together seven years ago."
"Why are you still referring to him as Uncle Shang?"
"You are aware that it's hard for me to call him 'Dad.' I've never really refer to anyone by that name while growing up."
"Even so, you have to call him Dad now."
Mateo was most probably farming in the rural area.
And Siran and Aaron lived in the city. They probably wouldn't get to see each other every day temporarily.
She considered inviting Mateo to stay with them after her house was renovated. Still, it was a matter to be discussed in another year.
Siran decided to change the way she addressed Mateo then.
But that night, Mateo showed up at her rental house.
Mateo was carrying a chicken in his left hand and a duck in his right hand, both of which were still alive. He also carried a basket of vegetables on his back.
If he didn't have to hide his identity from Siran temporarily, Mateo would have brought over all the most expensive nutritional supplements from his house and even brought a nutritionist over to nurse Siran's body.
After all, Siran was so skinny.
With her thin figure, she would suffer when the time came for Siran to give birth to Mateo's grandchild.
"Aaron hasn't come back yet?" Mateo walked into the house with the poultries.
Siran quickly removed the basket of fresh vegetables from Mateo's back.
At this time, the duck in Mateo's hand made a quacking sound and excreted a pile of poo onto the floor.
The floor tiles that Siran had mopped clean suddenly became dirty.
This turn of events was no big deal for Mateo, who had stopped interfering in the company's business with an interest in raising chickens and ducks daily.
He hurriedly knelt down to wipe it clean with a paper towel.
"It's okay. Just leave it." Siran also knelt down and said, "Uncle Shang, I'll clean it up. Please sit down quickly. You must be tired from traveling all the way here."
The women in the city would definitely stay away from the duck poo when they spotted it because they would feel disgusted.
But Siran was different. Not only did she not blame Mateo for causing trouble, but she was still concerned about Mateo.
That was the reason why Mateo loved Siran. "Why are you still referring to me as Uncle Shang?"
Siran raised her head. "...Dad!"
"Hey!" Mateo was delighted.
When he and Siran went through the life and death situation together seven years ago, he remembered thinking about how great it would be for such a brave and kind girl to become his daughter-in-law.
Seven years.
Mateo's dream had finally come true.
It wasn't easy for things to turn out this way.
After cleaning up, Siran went to the kitchen to cook.
Mateo, on the other hand, refused to let her do it.
Although her kitchen was small, Mateo enjoyed his time in there. He even thought about cooking confinement meals for her personally when Siran gave birth to his grandchildren in the future.
With that thought in mind, Mateo knew he had to learn more about the scientific and healthy methods to prepare confinement meals for women recuperating from childbirth.
Siran felt uneasy, letting Mateo cook the meal himself, so she cleaned the vegetables by his side.
"Uncle..."
"Why are you calling me that again?"
"Dad... aren't you exhausted from raising so many chickens and ducks?"
"They are all raised for my own consumption. I also raise cattle, sheep, geese, etc. I will bring you the meat when I slaughter them."
The cow he raised was imported from abroad and was known as the Sudanese cattle.
The cost for one of these was nearly 20 million yuan.
Sudanese cattle liked to drink alcohol, and their meat tasted particularly scrumptious after consuming alcoholic drinks.
To raise the cattle properly, Mateo fed it daily with a bottle of whiskey.
He had always been reluctant to kill the cattle, but now that Aaron had married Siran, he wanted to kill the cattle and give the best body part of it to Siran for her to taste.
Aaron still hadn't returned when they finished dinner, and the clock struck ten o'clock.
Siran sent a WeChat message to Aaron: [What time will you be back today? Dad is here.]
Aaron: [Your dad or my dad?]
Siran: [Your dad.]
Aaron frowned. He wondered why Mateo was still at Siran's place at this time of the day.
What plan did Mateo have in mind?
Aaron saw Siran tidying the couch when he rushed back to her rental house.
"Dad, will you be comfortable sleeping on the couch? How about I sleep on the living room floor with Aaron, and you take the bed?"
"It's a perfect arrangement for the two of you to sleep on the bed, while I sleep on the couch. Why do you guys need to sleep on the floor?" Mateo glanced meaningfully at Aaron, who had just entered the house.
Siran went to take a shower after noticing Aaron was home.
Aaron's expression darkened. "You deliberately stayed overnight so you can force me to sleep in the same room as Siran?"
"You can also make a bed on the floor instead of sleeping with Siran on the bed," Mateo suggested, "This will not affect our previous agreement at all."
Previously, Aaron promised Mateo that he would marry Siran, but also told Mateo that he had no right to force Aaron to become intimate with Siran or force them to have children before Aaron fell in love with Siran.
Aaron could not find the words to refute.
After Siran had showered, she pulled Aaron into the room and asked him to look at the bed she placed on the floor. "You will sleep there tonight. Is that okay for you?"
"You want me to sleep on the floor?" Aaron sounded upset.
Siran reminded him, "Mr. Shang, when we got married, you told me that you can't sleep with a woman that you're not in love with. Don't tell me you want to sleep with me on the same bed now?"
Aaron immediately responded, "No way!"
"Then do you want to sleep on the bed? Siran asked, "And I'll sleep on the floor?"
Realizing that allowing a woman to sleep on the floor was not gentlemanly, Aaron compromised, "I'll sleep on the floor."
He turned and walked out without saying anything else.
Mateo was already lying down on the couch.
"Are you leaving?" Mateo asked him.
Aaron retorted with a dark face, "Don't assume that me and Siran's relationship will advance with an arrangement like this."
Mateo smiled. "I know how rational you are. But please don't forget this. You're a normal man with sexual needs. If not, you would not have woken up multiple times per night to take cold showers."
Aaron maintained his moral integrity to too great a degree.
He was unbelievable because Aaron had yet to get intimate with a single woman even though he was already 32 years old.
Aaron certainly had physiological needs.
He was at the age when his sexual desires were at their peak, and his needs had never been released and relieved before.
The more he suppressed them, the stronger his desires got.
When he returned to the room, Siran had already laid down to rest.
In the past two days, Siran had always been very conservative in front of Aaron. She purposely wore pajamas with long sleeves and long trousers, and she even buttoned up all the way to the collar.
But the size S pajamas she wore looked like it was size XL on her body.
Her clothes seemed to be loose-fitting.
The top rode up her body when she rolled over, revealing her thin waist.
Her waist was eye-catchingly fair and delicate.
Siran had the kind of appearance that grew on people. The more one looked at her, the more beautiful she was. Moreover, she was a good-natured woman, which made it hard for others to hate her.
Aaron stole another glance at Siran.
He was a healthy, average man.
As Mateo said, Aaron had his physiological needs.
During these 32 years of never giving in to his desires, he thought about finding a woman to satisfy his needs, but then he never saw anyone he was interested in.
But at this moment, Aaron couldn't move his eyes away and even imagined himself hugging Siran from behind...
Of course, Aaron knew clearly that his imagination was just a man's instinctive reaction to a woman and not because he liked Siran.
Any sex that was not based on love repulsed Aaron.
He would never do it, no matter how strong his instinctive physiological needs were.
Finally, Aaron regained his senses, turned around, and went to take a bath.
"Did you just take a cold shower?" Mateo asked with a smile when he saw Aaron coming out of the bathroom.
Aaron's expression remained unchanged. "What's wrong with that?"
"Nothing." Mateo smiled, happy that he got his way. "Anyways, you're the one who is going to suffer."
